So the one time I am getting to fish instead of doing search and rescue has arrived! Planning to depart Sodus Sunday Evening and fish each day through Wed with family and friends …

Any locals in the area that want to share info be happy to work together hopefully forecast holds … trying to land some fish for an 85 year old veteran I take out each year…other than watching posts and talking with friends I’m starting out cold… pm me if you want to mutually share … or post any advice if you wish thanks !!!

We fish out of Fair Haven. It's been a tough bite. Water in close is pretty cold. If you just keep working the 80 to 130 fow hard you will get some. Mostly spoons and meat worked for us. If you are willing to burn some fuel been getting a pretty good bite out in 650 to 700+ fow. Spoons, meat and flasher flies all have been working. Not seeing a lot of marks on the screen either place but their is bait in both areas. We've been out deep the last 2 days and had done well. Spoons 50 to 80 down and meat 80 to 110 down. We went 8 for 11 today. Mostly smaller ones we let go. Kept 3 nice ones biggest was just shy of 20 lbs. Good luck!

Similar results.  Went out of sodus.  8 for 8 total.  1 was 21 lbs and a steelhead about 8 lbs.  The rest were small.  Fished mostly 450-600 feet of water.  Lines set from 50-80 down.  Ran 4 wire divers and 2 snap weight lines.  NBK spoon was hot.  No hits on flasher fly.  Most fish taken before 11:30.  One of them was taken in about 200 fow 60 ft down.  Hope this is helpful.

Were you seeing colored up kings out deep? I fished Oswego yesterday and was one of the few boats in close - every one else was out in 600 ft. The one mature king (20lb+) I caught was already pretty brown.

We haven't seen any fish getting dark yet. One boat at our dock was in close a few days ago and got one that was turning dark. That's all I've heard about.
