   I think 90% of the Captains out there do it because they love it. No one is getting rich doing charters ... definitely not on the great lakes anyway .. 

   Guys always say " you'll learn to hate Salmon fishing once you start a business."  Well I must be a slow learner because I still love it

 Haha..... I can't believe I'm still getting bit on that bent up piece of metal. Lol

    Maybe some Meta Glasses video the next time I go solo. I'd have to edit the video from all the F bombs when the fish swam under all my rigger cables....lol

I fish solo 90% of the time so i appreciate your "solo" report!

Your stuff is always enjoyable to read too.

I think your paddle removal is very telling. At 40 to 50 down with your riggers you may not need paddles, especially in fairly clear water. They might spook fish! 

It may only be a coincidence but i found that 8# weights with some blowback at those deeps, 50 or above, seem to catch more fish too.

I guess thats why its called fishing!
