Interesting day to say the least. Left port at 5:30 and dropped in 120 and headed north. Picked our way to 570. Picked up a few kings and bows but never say anything consistent. Weather got funky and all the warnings were a little concerning. We pulled and ran back into 120 and finished our trip. Thankfully we found more kings and a nice Atlantic.
Took shots on just about everything we ran with no top producer. Ended the day with 9 kings, 5 bows, 1 Atlantic and 4 lakers. Folks were happy and went home with full coolers. First time I’ve fished during a tornado warning lol. The weather alerts on the radio were a concern but we kept an eye on the radar and none of the lightning was close to us thankfully.
out again in the morning.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed and came back in without any problems.

I planned to go out as well , but seeing the weather report I got cold feet.

It really never got rough out there. Did have some heavy rain and a little lightning but not close to us. Tomorrow looks fine, just going to delay our start a few hours.
