The DEC Region 8 put on a very informative meeting last night on their research and walleye stocking program for I-Bay.  They are asking our help with saving walleye heads from fish you have harvested.  There is a freezer near Sutter's Marina boathouse on the west side of the bay with bags and instructions.  You can even save them at home and make a delivery later.  These sample will go a long way in aging the fish and assisting them in this project.  The goal is 100 heads if possible. Please consider this if at all possible. It has been very successful in their salmon program on Lake Ontario.  A similar project is taking place on Sodus Bay.  The freezer is located at Krenzer Marine for that program. Once again, the more heads delivered, the better the data. Thanks for your consideration and catch a big one.
