Spoon Rehab

Recommended Posts

Getting back into the game this year& being the cheapskate that I am I went thru my spoons. A lot were tarnished ,tape & paint falling off , etc. I took some zip strip to them with a tooth brush to take off down to the metal. Took some New Finish car polish & buffed them out. Most look like I just took them out of the package. What a difference. Now to Tape , Paint ,sharpie & cover with clear laquer. I did NK's, & Pirates mostly. 20 all told at $ 4-5 a pop.

Janns Netcraft has a lot of lure paints including glow finishes. Most of them are air brush type paints but they have a lot of options there.

Here's a paint type that has glow colors

Has Been. I have found glow green, and glow blue spray paint in a can at auto zone before. I believe it was oil based. I have also seen glow green acrylic paint at home improvement stores. I have used it and it works. You have to put it over a base coat of white, and it does leave a slight yellowish film over the white but it does glow.
