Do anyone fish at Genesse River yet?

If you did fishing at Genesse River and please let me know how fishing are! I'm might want to go up there at this weekend. I just curious who has better luck out there at this week.

The river is running very high due to the excess snow melt. All brown and muddy. This is not a good time to fish.

October thru December but you have to check conditions. Its a long river and can blow out quickly. If there isnt a lot of ice in the winter, it can be good Jan Feb too.

The river will be blown out for a minimum of a couple weeks. If it rains hard, even longer.

killed the pike down there 3 weeks ago using a medium size yo zuri crystal minow black/crhome. none was bigger the 23inc but they were there. an i seen a few trout cuaght. but nothing speical

the river holds something all times of year. spring can be anything, eyes stay around awhile and the fall its good for the run. rule of thumb on this river is that it takes 2 days after the rain for the river to clear up. and remember the river starts in penn so it may rain there and not here effecting the river.

In this mud your best bet is to drop chicken livers to the bottom in some of the lower deep holes... the cats will be all over it. Mud doesn't bother them a bit.
