Cayuga 8-7

Hitched a ride with rshubuck out of long point. We started trolling right off the point and headed north. we put a small laker and three small salmon in the boat at sunrise, then it shut down. We headed down to sheldrake and started again. Then a new pesonal record for myself, a 5"-6" landlock. I've never seen one so small, lol. We ended up catching another one about an hour later. I was soon to find out the reason to our bad luck as rshubucks old man asked if i wanted a banana. The curse of the banana haunted us with small fish and no action untill we made our sacrafice to the fish gods with a broken dipsey rod. The end of the day we were rewarded with about an hour of steady hits and better fish. We did 15 for the day with only 5 legal lakers and one legal salmon. spoon bite was good with dipseys being pretty slow. Slow day but still a lot of fun. Weather was great, weeds weren't too bad, and very few fleas.

Nice job Troller, I'v heard of the banana curse sorry about the dipsey rod, was it worth the sacrifice to the fish gods for the end of the day flurry

It was fun watching rshubuck and his dad run back and forth from one rod to another, so that made it worth it. the dipsey rod will be back in action with a new twillie tip.
