Daiwa Sealine 47

Hey Guys

Is the Daiwa Sealine that much better than an Accudepth? Worth the extra 40 bucks? Going to be using them for my Dipsy rods. Thx

For my Dipseys I run the Sealines and personally think the extra money is well worth it. Just my 2 cents.

depends, If you are talking about the original accudepths, those were junk from what I understand.

Their replacements, the accudepth plus are fine reels for divers.

I have my 2 wire divers on SG47LCA's that are probably 10 years old and they are still good as new, but I have my 2 braid and 2 mono divers on ADP47LC's and after 3 seasons have no complaints with them either.

If you can do it the SG's are bulletproof, but if you are on a tight budget, the ADP's will certainly get the job done for you.

What brand of Wire are you guys using. Saw Malin Soft and Malin 7 strand. Not sure what to get?

I've been using 30 lb Malin bright 7 strand from Howie's tackle for years. Tried Mason before that and wasn't crazy about it, the Malin is softer in general and easier to work with IMO.

That being said, I don't think any of them are bad, it's one of those personal preference things. Mason, Malin, AFW, Torpedo etc will all get the job done.
