depends, If you are talking about the original accudepths, those were junk from what I understand.

Their replacements, the accudepth plus are fine reels for divers.

I have my 2 wire divers on SG47LCA's that are probably 10 years old and they are still good as new, but I have my 2 braid and 2 mono divers on ADP47LC's and after 3 seasons have no complaints with them either.

If you can do it the SG's are bulletproof, but if you are on a tight budget, the ADP's will certainly get the job done for you.

I've been using 30 lb Malin bright 7 strand from Howie's tackle for years. Tried Mason before that and wasn't crazy about it, the Malin is softer in general and easier to work with IMO.

That being said, I don't think any of them are bad, it's one of those personal preference things. Mason, Malin, AFW, Torpedo etc will all get the job done.
