SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

We had a friend join us on Saturday for his second Lake Ontario experience. We headed North out of Hughes and shut down at 150 FOW. We set up two riggers with stackers and two dipseys. Once we were on the 160 line, we headed East. About an hour in, the shallow rigger hit with a skipper king. Just after we got the reset, the deep rigger went off with a fish running. Rob grabbed the rod and the fight was on! He did a great job landing his first King, 20# 5 oz. We turned back around and headed West on the same line, no takers, so we turned North towards the 180 ft line. In a 170FOW, we hit a 5# brown on the shallow rigger. About an hour later, we hit another skipper king at about 175 FOW. Things shut down for us around 9, so we headed back to the dock at 10.

The spiney fleas were a mess as usual. We spend more time cleaning the lines than fishing! While Rob was getting his fish weighed at Warrens, I spoke to Dawn about getting 30# Ande put on my down rigger rods. Warrens is simply the BEST!!! They got me re-lined in plenty of time to hit the water on Sunday. A big Thank you to Dawn, Kayci, and the Warrens crew for taking care of us.

Sunday it was just the two of us. It was a bit rough at first, but seemed to drop to 1-2 footers around 9. We set up on the same lines as we did yesterday. All said and done, we boated a combination of browns and kings but none were keepers.

The best part of the whole morning...NO MORE FLEAS!!!

It was a great weekend on the lake once again. Congratulations to all of you who participated in the ProAm and LOU Tourneys.
