heading up to mexico bay this weekend never fished there before, but were going to be camping close by so i figured i would drag the boat a long any way i dont see much chat about the fishing up there is it a big secret or would someone mind shareing a little info Not looking to take over anyones favorite place but it is a 2 hr haul for me ild hate to get skunked just want to put a few fish in the boat for my nephews..

thanks guys thats a good start and yes im (getting) set up for salmon im in a 22ft marathon i have 2 penn electrics and 2 10ft wires set up. when you head out of port do you run straight out or should i go west towards oswego?

and how far do i have to go to get to 500ft? Thanks again for the info

Head west check 130 ft out in front of the plant and start heading out look for the other boats it will at least give you a place to start if your not familiar with the lake good luck keep use posted

Thanks a ton guys this should get me started I mostly fish the west end of the lake out of the oak or sandy creek

it depends on how well the boat is running but i probably wont head to 500 ill have some younger ones out with me so even if we get into some browns or lakers that will suffice.. (there used to catchin sunnys)..

Fished this morning by plant 120 fow to 100 fow. 85 to 95 down limit out in two hours. couldn't keep rods in water.hammer flies and white flashers. (friday) also fished thursday only 4 kings. big pods by plant.

thanks to everyone who posted info we fished for a few hours saturday but with no luck we stayed in a little from circle of boats, mine still isn't running up to par. also had a few youngsters that didnt have the patiance that i have lol maybe next year im back to fishing the rochester area...
