Another Prop Question

I have a 17' aluminum boat with a 90hp Merc with a 4 blade stainless prop. I also have a 3 blade composite prop that came with the boat. I took the boat out yesterday for the 1st time trolling just to make sure everything was working. I can't get under 2.9mph. Do you think the boat will troll slower with the 3 blade composite prop on or am I stuck buying trolling bags. Thanks for your help!

The speed difference technically depends on the difference in pitch of the two props (info not posted) BUT based on boat weight and engine hp I doubt the difference is enough to get you down to slow salmon speeds 2.0 - 2.4. Bags or kicker for you. Check out Amish Oufitters beefy bags.
