Cayuga 6/23 R&R

Recommended Posts

Had a nice time fishing with Jim Duncan (Livewire) taking Dave from R&R spoons out for some R&R and some R&D  Caught a bunch of nice lakers 4 to 6# and a 5#+ Land lock. Fished from the boy scout camp North to shelldrake in 70' to 200' The fish were all depths. 60' off the dipsie, 100' and 80' off the riggers. The new metal 9" flasher with a smaller spoon. And the 6" flasher with a 3' lead to the spoon worked great. The finish and the paint jobs on the flashers is nothing short of Amazing . The uv blue coating really fires up when the flasher hits the water. The Kings on Lake Ontario will love thest babies with a hot fly behind them!!!! Dave was taking a break from painting and wanted to try some new flashers out. The landlock wacked the 6" bright orange flasher and the green/yellow spoon . 65'down on the rigger. Speed was 2.2 to 2.8 The new flashers are metal and you can tweak the way the run by bending the back or the front of it. They are reversable and will run either way for a slightly differant look They will be up on his website soon!!! mytacklebox.com Oh like Tim B. said he is starting to paint the sea sick wadder pattern in reg and mag sizes.

He was running a 6" flasher with about a 3' lead to a small spoon. Trying differant colors . The white green dot flasher is painted with a glitter glow , The Kings will clobber it up on Ontario!! The yellow green dot looked super too. He puts a super paint job on the spoons. The new Superlite series looked awsome, esp the black glow green. Were you out? The launch at Myres was crowded.

Not this weekend, Been out a few times testing this new lure we made, So far it's been killer on everything, Been silent, Not lettin the dog out yet. I think they'll work on the kings too. Buddy of mine bought a new islander 19 ft. Were gonna fish the LOU on Cayuge with it. He's new to this kind of fishing so it should be fun. He fishes the ocean. We fished alot this spring, Mexico and Cayuga, We did very well both places. You must be getting itchy for the kings soon eh? I sure am.. The launch at myers can get pretty crazy!!
