I have been having an intermittent problem with my graph. Seems like it only does it when I'm in 200 plus foot of water. But it will start giving me crazy readings saying its only 14-40 foot of water. I use the same graph in my other boat switching it back and fourth. Never had an issue in the other boat but it's smaller and oi never take it out that deep. I was thinking maybe a bad transducer. What do you guys think?

Double check power supply. If it's good I would say transducer. Bird had a problem with them a couple years ago..

Is there anyway to have the transducer tested before having to buy a new one?

Not sure but what your saying it is doing is exactly what mine did

So you replaced your transducer and everything was fine?

Yes, then the transducer went again, and I had enough dealing with it. They issued a recall after I sold the unit. I wish I still had it I had the 788ci. I miss my humminbird. Its on the shopping list for the future..

Contact Humminbird. They sent me a new transducer for my 768c. I also had luck with doing a software update.

Note: these were almost all 700 series Humminbirds
