Do any of you hunt in the Finger Lakes National Forest

Can any of you provide me with a general "whats up" with the Finger Lakes National Forest in regard to deer hunting. Is it packed with every yahoo from the city on opening week or can you easily escape to quiet areas of the forest? What is the quality of the deer heard? Thanks for the help,

That chunck of woods gets pounded the hole season. I,ve taken my share of deer there and I think the heard is going down hill but this season due to sickness I haven't been able to hunt so I didn't get down there to hunt. Normully we just bow hunt there and maybe BP . Its hard to get away from the crowds in gun season. Hey give it a try.
