NO BOATS ON HONEOYE & CANANDAIGUA LAKES

No motorized boats will be allowed on Canandaigua and Honeoye Lakes in Ontario County. The sheriff, Phil Povero, says this will go into effect on Friday at 8 a.m

 

 

 

i hope the water goes down i am planning on a trip to fish the canandaigua trout derby in 2 weeks might just stay home if i can't use the boat

I confirmed this news with sheriff's office just now at 2:38 pm Thursday, see Keuka post regarding no motor boats and Ray K' s insightful post due to possible increased boater traffic for Memorial Day weekend.

Docks on the North End were above water this morning. Pending anymore strong storms I think Canandaigua will be down and fine for the Tournament next Saturday. I'm sure the big concern was the amount of boat traffic this weekend with the forecast for Sunday, Monday.
