Cannon Mag 5HS no swivel base?

I have old mag 10s I want the faster 250ft retrieve rate.

Can i put a the new mag 5 on my old mag 10 swivel bases?

You should be able to, but may need to add a mounting base to your swivel base if you don't already have one: http://www.cannondownriggers.com/produc ... g=mounting

Make sure you get the mounting base for the Magnum series.

i put a pair of Mag5's on the back of my boat last year and did exactly what you are looking at

They went right on the bases for my Mag10's - I then moved my 10's on to the sides

The speed on the new ones is almost frightening

Thanks I ordered a mag 5 today for $325 and $10 shipping.

That faster speed will help when I experiment with the salmon down deep like the GLA article stated.
