Pay the gas share that day by the trip and share in the money if you are on board. The boat takes a percentage of any substantial winnings for the slip, insurance, maintenance, payments, etc. If it is a $100 prize, then screw the percentage, it's just a few beers some Friday night for everyone. (I like expensive beer)

That is what I'm going to do next year.
