what kind of oil for oil change

I've got a volvo penta inboard/outboard motor and was going to change the oil.

any recommendations on what kind of oil to use?

On a newer motor use any 10w30 or 5w30

On my old 454 I use max life 10w30

If the motor is pre 90's you may wish to use straight 30

If you are having problems with pressure -- increase the weight but not over 50.
