Raymarine smartpilot X5 help...

I have Raymarine autopilot with X5 drive unit for steering. Last trip drive unit started to make noise and wouldn’t turn... From what I read possible belt or gear slipping or clutch pads... To my understanding Raymarine stopped servicing these units so the only option is to take it apart and see if I can get parts online or maybe someone has one here for sale. Wondering if anyone tried to service these units themselves?

i haven't, but i sent mine to them 2 years ago and they rebuilt it for free. known problem for these units. call em and ask, they might fix it for you.
