Looking for feedback and recommendation on the good, bad or ugly on Thermo-Troll 840 before I invest.  Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Two problems with my old 840 was the battery life and display readings. Went through a 9v every day or two of use and the readings jumped around slightly.
