  1. yeah buddy Congrats to you both! That last one is a giant!
  2. LOU cam should give you good visual during day light hours. Cam is located in central basin (Hamlin/Rochester). Just scroll down this page a bit to see it https://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/page/lakeontario_map/
  3. Pick any dock you can find up there and you should be able to catch some panfish. Stop and get some worms at 1000 Islands bait store and that is all you will need. If you are staying at a hotel on the water then they should have docks for you to fish from. Best of luck It's the same place I got hooked 36 years ago.
  4. Hi guys - I fixed that pop-up issue (had the same thing happen to me). Send me a PM or submit support ticket by using link at bottom of site and I'll be happy to investigate individual related problems so we don't detract from fishing talk here. thanks!
  5. Pretty interesting video from my friends over on OFC.... https://ontariofishingcommunity.com/topic/86632-salmon-in-the-river/
  6. Hi Chasen - I'll look into a couple things for us this weekend. I'm always interested in making the site faster anyways even if this issue is isolated to only a few members. Thanks for your patience!
  7. I'll second that... Hank is great. He really puts in the time to figure out the issue.
  8. Welcome to LOU Martie! Glad to have ya aboard Haven't night fished the upper in a couple years now but if that's the plan, then id consider joining Niagara Musky Association (NMA). There are many die hard awesome anglers in that club to say the least, and plenty that love night fishing. .http://niagaramuskyassociation.ning.com/
  9. Unreal fish! Congrats to Frank on what I understand to be his largest ever from Chautauqua. Giant!!
  10. Had a great time at the tournament. 95 people turned out on a day that was slated for horrible weather - lots of musky addicts out there apparently Joe and I finished the day with a 40", 38" and bonus walleye to boot. If it wasn't torrential downpours of rain/wind, then we weren't catching fish. All of our activity came in the worst weather of the day. Special thanks to Mike Sperry over at Chautauqua Reel Outdoors for letting the club host the event at his place. Check out CRO if you are ever in the area. Good luck to everyone the rest of the year! Chad
  11. Giant! Nice fish Justin Thanks for sharing.
  12. Hi Zach / Clint - Two quick questions. Is the format of the tournament still three (3) biggest fish like last year or is it unlimited fish to stay in line with tournament trail series? Also, if we get bad weather Saturday, is tournament cancelled or pushed off to Sunday? Thanks again! Chad
  13. Awesome job guys Wish I could have made that event. Glad to hear it was a success.
  14. Hey Sodus guy - I believe that there are plans in place to expand the current parking lot situation at Waneta and Lamoka. I am not sure the schedule or timeline for this expansion but at the last NY musky Inc. meeting we were told they planned on moving forward with it. Until that happens my only recommendation would be to get there very very early to secure a spot Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Very cool stuff Adam - thanks for sharing
  16. Cassadaga is the backup brute stock for Chautauqua so there are numbers in there but being a smaller body of water, it has smaller fish than Chautauqua. I don't personally have any experience on Bear.
  17. Hi Mike - You have basically named your three best options down that way for NY pure musky waters. I'll be on Chautauqua Saturday. That entire lake is good for both casting and trolling. Boat traffic will most likely be an issue by mid-day Saturday so get an early start if possible. I may start casting and then switch over to trolling. Both north and south ends will produce fish but south end (shallower, warms up quicker) seems to be favored earlier in the year by many guys. If weather/wind gets to be too much on CHQ, then consider other lakes but hard to pass up one of the best lakes around. I'm excited to get out - best of luck to ya! Chad
