  1. I don't use climbers (too old, just use ladder stands) but I noticed the discussion earlier and saw the following on "Archery Talk". Don't know how well it works but thought it might help with the issues discussed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qm9dUsICd4
  2. A friend has the following for sale in Prattsburgh, NY. Contact him via this Craigslist post if interested. Thanks. http://rochester.craigslist.org/reo/5715881664.html

  4. Little hard to see what you have there. Is that a rod tree with two fixed holders on it?
  5. It can be very hard to remove a dipsy rod from that position with a big fish on. I would move them up the side a couple feet.
  6. Fished from P'Ville this AM from 7-11:30. Lake was flat. Fished 75-110 FOW. Temp 64 on top, 50 down 30, 42 down 55. Landed 5 small kings from skippers to 6-7#. Lost one big one. Most fish came on 10 color with Moonshine Shelly Snack. Riggers down 55 with Seasick Waddler took some. Marked an occasional fish, no bait.
  7. Les, please post your results and the lake conditions. I'm headed out of P'ville tomorrow and would like the info. Dick
  8. Just wanted to relate a good experience. I've been using Scotty downriggers for about 12 yrs. My current set are 6 yrs old. They are guaranteed (to the original buyer) for life. I registered them when I bought them. I have never had anything fail. Recently one of the counters bound and couldn't be freed up. I knew it would be covered but I feared I would need to send the downrigger to the factory. That would not be practical costwise since I could buy the part online for $25. I hoped they would agree to just sending the counter. I called their 800 number in Sidney, BS, Canada and explained my problem. The gentleman asked for my name, checked my registration on their computer and said.... "we'll put one in the mail to you today". I like to do business with people like that, and told them so.
  9. would have preferred it the other way. probably won't join.
  10. Do you have to have a witness or can you fish solo?
  11. On my boat the cannonballs go vertically.
  12. I also had one deploy in a hot cabin.
  13. Anyone ever used these? Found them in the bottom of my "laker box". Maybe they came in a grab bag at some point. a

  16. Take a look at the Raymarine EV 200. I had one installed last year on my 27' Amberjack and it is very nice.
  17. DEC is requesting informal comments on potential deer hunting regulation changes. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/104785.html I responded with comments today.
  18. My granddaughter had a Rem 700 in .243 that was purchased 2 yrs. ago. After seeing about the issue early last year and going to the Remington website, it was determined that hers was one of the ones that the trigger assembly would be replaced for free. Remington sent the shipping packaging, replaced the questionable parts, and paid shipping costs both ways. The whole process worked easily. I think the gun was gone about 2 months.
  19. Camera is a Spy Point that is a few years old.
  20. http://www.seriouspropertymarkers.com/ Have you looked at these? I have a few of the non-custom ones, but they will "mold" your info directly in.
  21. https://youtu.be/2wN1o-VpK4k Thought you might like this taken from our trail camera about a week ago.
  22. I don't have that problem, ..... yet. They are getting closer all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Had my archery target in my back yard pushed over sometime last night. I have deer close by but it seemed a little for this to happen.
  24. I am looking for suggestions for an app for the iPhone that would be useful while hunting. Would like to mark and name waypoints and get directions to them, etc.
