Dang, he's gonna need a bigger hat by the time this thread is done. Great guy & a personal friend. I can't say enough good about him
  2. Nick, I really do think he had a great time. It was a concerted effort by EVERYONE that made it so much fun & a great success. I'm also glad LakeOntarioUnited.com was helpful in spreading the word and making it easier to get the info out. LOU folks are the best.
  3. GEEZ Mike, & here I thought you were born BEFORE the wheel was invented.
  4. Ginger ale & crackers work well, No med to take. Also like the others said, keep your eyes on the horizon & keep 'em moving, not on the deck
  5. It's pronounced Ga-gee-wah
  6. Good luck on your new venture & welcome to the site Shawn.
  7. Welcome to the site Denis & you're right, there is a ton of info on the site. Keep reading and if you do have a question afterwards just ask. There's a bunch of folks here willing to answer. Good luck & hope to see you on the water.
  8. 1859 - Human leg reportedly found in the stomach of a captured Greenland shark. Ville de Québec / Quebec City Last Updated by Jeffrey Gallant on Jun 13, 2009 Under certain environmental conditions and for short periods of time, the range of the Greenland shark could theoretically extend as far west as the eastern tip of Orleans Island, only a few kilometres from Quebec City, where the St. Lawrence becomes brackish (transition from fresh water to sea water). hmmm: http://www.sharksavers.org/en/education ... esh-water/
  9. I got kinda worried when you started stripping on the boat, but you saw the .38 under my shirt and changed yer mind. Good plan.
  10. Prefished with Ray K. on Friday and had a so-so afternoon. Fished from about noon to 4PM. Caught 5-6 kings & steelies anywhere from 125' to 225'. All on spoons & never had a hit on flies. Saturday was a bust for us but I had a fantastic time fishing with one of the vets (Mike) who had such a great sense of humor and outlook on life. I feel very fortunate to have met him. He's a great inspiration to all who meet him. The Healing Waters event was a fantastic event overall with some great prizes for the vets & others. God Bless them all. The organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and all who took the vets out for the event did an excellent job!!! I'm looking forward to helping out again next year in some capacity whether it's taking a vet out or helping in any other way. Here's a few pics from Fri. & Sat.: God Bless America
  11. KUDOS to Stan for his most generous contribution: http://www.notubes.com/ & to Ray for talkin to him about it.
  12. Sorry, forgot to follow up. This turned out just so-so, not as good as with the cider/juice & hickory chips. Back to the drawing board.
  13. I'll show ya what one looks like Saturday, AFTER the Summer LOC is over
  14. Any chance of seeing what the final prize payouts were for each Pro/Open in each Port for this year. Just curious & figure it might generate more interest. Thanks
