Due to the high water, our season started yesterday. We started the morning off in 75' of water. The screen was amazing but rods were not moving. We poked out to 120' and rods starting moving. The three color leadcore took a couple steelhead and Gambler Rigs Micros behind a trash can dodger took three good lakers trolled 110 down. The bite slowed around 9:30 and we slid out after getting some Intel. 225-300 right in front of the creek produced a beautiful 9lb coho, a king and a big steelhead. Lots of big hooks 30-100 down. Too bad we found them so late in the morning. NBK was the hot spoon on a 20' rigger, 50' rigger, three color and a ten color. Trolling in to end the day, we ended up taking one more big laker. Finger Lakes Flea Market I was wondering when is the 2018 Flea Market and how do I get a table? I missed it last year and really would like to get a table to sell my rigs down there next year. Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? You can cut the learning curve down by going out with someone and learning the ropes.

It has dropped .12' since the highest point. It is not a lot but its better than gaining!

Thanks to all that showed up to help! Tommy has a great group of guys slipped at his marina! Modifying the docks was not an easy chore but we got the job done! Season saved! I will be splashing the Escape on Friday afternoon.

Until the water warms up, lakers can and will suspend throughout the water column searching for bait. As the sun gets higher in the sky, most days the lakers will return to the depths and forage on the bottom.

1. Food plots are legal. 2. Skippers are thrown back on my boat if injured only if they are not legal. If they are short, they go back. It is the law. 3. If a fish in my boat is not going to make it, it goes in the cooler. There is always someone that I can find to take the meat (yes even lake trout). 4. Guys that sell there catch, if done legally (commercial license and following the law) I have no problem with it. I have a problem with guys breaking fish and game laws. It is bad for all of us. This is just another slap on the wrist by a judge for game violations. When is NY gonna step up and take fish and game violations seriously. The state could make a fortune off of the illegal activities that go on in this state! He deserves more than a slap on the wrist.

After so many fish and game violations in NYS, don't you lose your license for fishing or hunting?

Sorry Lucky but you are wrong. On December 17th they started holding back water (6700 from 7200). They cut flows back even more on December 31st to 6100. It was not from precipitation it was to bring the lake up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

As soon as the 2014 plan was implemented, man takes all the blame. Having a higher lake is reckless with homes built to the old plan levels.
