  1. The days that are a blood bath, you learn nothing (other than holy crap fishing is exercise). The days that are a grind, you learn from it. Those blood bath days are fun but they do not help improve you as a fishermen.
  2. I would much rather see someone get some use out of it. It is just collecting dust in my garage.
  3. Those guys will not slow down. We were perch fishing at the channel markers years back in my 14' aluminum boat and a 30+' boat blew by us on plane. They were only 30-40' from us!
  4. Gone pending pickup.
  5. I run them both and let the fish tell me what the want.
  6. I find it funny that the IJC webpage no longer allows you to open the link to the outflows page..... http://ijc.org/en_/islrbc/Regulating_Lake_Ontario-St._Lawrence_River The link worked last week. Now anything you click on the page directs you to the same home page.....
  7. Congrats Chris. Those are some quality spring fish for sure!
  8. Hilton NY Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Free Browning compound bow. It comes with a release, case, target, arm guard, sights and carbon arrows. It will need a new string. Pick up only. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. All season that area is great. Late August, the Sandy to Braddock Bay area has produced some huge lakers. My boat took a 34.06 in 2012 and another 35lber was caught there two years ago.
  11. Char Master, come to Sandy Creek in June. The laker fishing is insane. I can put you right on the fish when you come up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. They were taunting you Bill.
  13. All the marinas on Sandy Creek are empty. The state launch is underwater completely.
  14. They work but a PITA when they get tangled in the net. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. We got our fish at Sandy but due to water temps, we held them for six days. Fish deliveries on the West end were way too late. The oak direct stocked just like the Genny. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I live in Hilton and could meet you in Oak Orchard if you would like. Let me know. I am available tomorrow from 1-3pm.
  17. You are gonna get a ton of knock offs with your spin n glo rig like that. Lakers like to grab the very back end of the bait. With your current set up, they would miss the hooks most of the time. I would suggest adding some beads to get the hook back so the hook is right to the edge of the fly. Also lengthen the lead on the spin n glo. I find 24-28" is perfect.
  18. These guys have it covered. Good info above. Not much more that I can add.
  19. The only issue with the format for a big fish Friday is taking the time out of prefishing to hit the different grounds that the species inhabit. IMO, this would be a much better format for an actual tournament.
  20. Along with stocking cuts, two pen projects are direct stocking due to water temps and late fish deliveries. This is only going make for a smaller year class due to poorer survival.
  21. I use the Uni to Uni.
  22. At least no one will back off the ramp!
  23. http://ijc.org/en_/islrbc/Lake_Ontario_Outflow_Changes I wonder why these idiots keep cutting back the outflow on the St. Lawrence River @ the dam. It was at 8000 the other day and they are back down near 7000. With the water level way above the High in the IJC 2014 plan, shouldn't they be dumping water to get it back on track?
  24. I change every year no matter how much use. It is a cheap insurance policy! If it's gonna fail, you know it will fail at the wrong time! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
