  1. Congrats Bob! Good luck and I will be placing an order this winter!
  2. NIce report Rick. I remember the days of fishing big waves in a small boat!
  3. Awesome Steelhead! All we need now is a 40lb king and a 20lb brown weighed in! What a year for Lake Ontario!
  4. Perch fishing and I want to get the engine rebuild started. I have a spot in my floor to fix and some new gear to get on the boat before winter.
  5. I run one diver on a 1 and the other on a 3. If you run them the same distance out, they will be running approx. 10' in depth difference (I run the Walker Deeper Divers). The key to running 2 divers a side without tangling is letting them out SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW.
  6. The next time the lake upwells, the salmon will be all over the mouths of the bigger tribs.
  7. The Escape might be getting a new power house over the winter and it is time to catch those little yellow fish with black stripes that taste better! I also have some other work I want to get done before the winter cover goes on.
  8. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/27 Time on Water:530am Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 1' Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: ? Total Boated:?Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Spin n glow Trolling Speed: 2.3 browns and 1.3 for lakers Down Speed: Boat Depth: 35 - 120 Lure Depth: bottom ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Started the morning off fishing browns inside. The picture was horrible but we managed 5 browns and one steelhead by 830. We bumped out to laker grounds and caught a bunch of lakers. The biggest was 15 and change but it is backin the lake to grow bigger (should have weighed it in for fish of the day but oh well). The current was ripping and the fish seemed really scattered. One more trip and my season is over. I'm going to pull the boat early and get a lot of work done before it goes away for the winter.
  9. Owner 2x. You can't fish Lake O with 1x hooks.
  10. Call the DEC dispatch or the Tip line. Before you do, you might want to tone it down a little. A level head will get you further than swearing.
  11. Glad to see you back out there Tim. How did the cuddy cabin job come out?
  12. We knew it was going to happen sooner or later. There are too many BIG kings and too many skilled fishermen for that fish to hold the top spot until the end. $20,000.00 would have been nice but the memories made that day are worth every penny. The video is funny but the thrill of seeing a fish of a lifetime will make anyone scream like a school girl.
  13. That happens also if the treble hook is too close to the head or if the meat is too soft. It also happens when kings keep hitting the bait and not getting to hooks. I have seen a meat rod on the rigger get pounded many times without popping. Bring it up and the meat is shredded.
  14. Fish Hawk X4. Best unit on the market. It can be used on any rigger on the boat, no coated cable, easier to take your probe on and off, sealed electronics, and great battery life. Reeds sporting goods has a pre sale on the unit right now. It will be shipped the 2nd week of sept it you order now. It takes $50.00 off the price and the offer free shipping.
  15. Come on Nick, you have 2 hands. Where are the pics?
  16. Wow. If that fish was fat at that length it would have been a 20+ easy. Congrats again on the derby brown.
  17. Nice job! I love the looks of that Green Sportscraft. Did you have to get that done or did it come that way from the factory?
  18. Right through? It's only 3" deep after the drought we have been having!
  19. I hope that is the biggest salmon caught during the LOC!
