As long as you dont have your actual license in hand your ok to run in the amatuer division. The second your coast license is issued youll be forced to run pro.

On a tourny tie, I prefer to place them above the tandom hook. It allows me to still put my standards bead combo between hooks.

the best thing to do is to state your intentions. if you plan on going left or right make an obvious attempt in a way to signal your intentions to the other boat. most of the time boats will pass port side to port side when trolling close. not everyone has read the book on kindness or common sense.

If your question is "do you have the right of way when trolling?" then the answer is no. the pecking order of "right of way" is as follows -overtaken vessel -vessel not under command -vessel restricted in ability to maneuver -fishing vessel -sailboat -power driven -seaplane your boat operations fall under power driven not fishing. fishing is considered as commercial trawling, nets, etc. not trolling. so when you and another "power boat" meet neither of you has right of way over another.

Steelers are a better team but I was pulling for the cards because they have never been there before. Either way it was still a good game with a great 4th quarter.

Really nothing new to report here. Although perch size seems to be getting bigger, numbers are still fairly low. 10-20 keepers per man per trip out and we've had to really work hard for them. Tip downs and jigging rods tipped w/ niagaras and fatheads have been the most consistant combo for me. No shortage of ice out there, (without a measurement i would guess around 12") and no shortage of guys fishing on the weekends (it looked like a refugee camp on saturday). I think im ready for spring and some bigger fish.

10thMTNDAVE, How about yelling "FISH ON", grabbing the rod, and setting the hook only to realize that your downrigger is 40' down and your in 35' of water.

not at all, i actually used them both today. ive gotten 3 reports from them in just over 2 years. its free but the catch is you can only get them for free once a year.

heres 2 "free" credit report websites. you can get all of your info almost instantly online and you can print it all out too. http://www.annualcreditreport.com gives you reports from all 3 credit companies but doesnt give you a credit score http://www.freecreditreport.com gives your credit score but only a credit report from 1 credit company

Fished Braddocks Bay with a friend of mine this morning. It seems that the fishing there has been pretty slow so far this year. We ended up icing 14 keeper perch (biggest being 12") and throwing back about half a dozen more. I caught a fat 32" pike on my jigging rod (needless to say was alot of fun) and lost another pike on one of my tip downs (snap the line after a short fight). I have never caught a pike while perch fishing so two in one day was pretty crazy especially on 4# test line. Heres a phone pic of most of the catch of the day.
