  1. Here is this years video from aboard "Get The Net". Most video was filmed in HD. Thanks
  2. The CBP is there for our benefit. Just because they are sitting in the parking lot, it doesn't mean they are not working. As far as the lake is concerned, that is a different division.( air and marine). Those guys are out there all the time. Just because you don't see them, it doesn't mean they don't see you.
  3. The last few weeks fishing offshore has been stellar. A lot of 1-2 yr old kings with some beautiful steel mixed in. We have fished anywhere from 350-500 fow. Spoons and meat rigs were very hot. DW Gator and Warrior flutter spoons took our share of kings and steel. Attached are some pics of the last few trips. You have got to love the September sunrise and sunsets. It was a great year out of Sandy, We have a great fishery with good people to boot. Enjoy the winter and I we will see you all in the spring!
  4. Fill it with dirt and plant flowers in it! Your wife will love it!
  5. Great Video Jude! I would love to try that sometime.
  6. Matt Great Job. I am glad that " In Between" water worked for you!!!!
  7. Thanks Scott, I feel better, I will cancel your fruit of the month subscription. It was Banana month!
  8. We left the creek around 4:30 in search of some decent action. Jolly was out in the am and did a bunch of fish out in 300+. A surface break was out there and some fish were hanging on the outside edge in the colder water. Last night that temp break was as much as 8 degrees!. We fished through it trolling north and south most of the time. Early on it was lots of steel. Coming off the 2,3 and 7 color lead cores. Warriror flutter and Dreamweavers were taking a good share of the action. We decided to continue on a north troll. Around 400' the kings started to bite. The first king came on a diver: white/green dot spinny/ITO Fly. 150 ' out. Our diver meat rig out 300' also took 2 shots, but lost both during the fight. We worked 350-400 for the remainder of the evening and ended with a mixed bag of Steelhead, Lakers and Kings. We had anywhere between 42-50 degrees surface temp. What a beautiful night to be on the lake.
  9. Sunday I had a full boat. Bro in law and 5 kids. I had a great plan to start the day in close for browns then head out for some silvers..As soon as we left the creek and headed east, most of the color was gone. After a call from Gambler,( Thanks Brian) I left the skinny water and headed for greener pastures( and water). We had good marks anywhere between 90-140 ft. We started the action with a 20 lb laker. Once boated, the fishing slowed for us. We spent the rest of the morning picking at very few smaller fish. Our last fish of the day was a teen king which proceeded to come lose as he was in the net! . Over all not a great day but we did manage some fish. Our bites came in 50-60 over 100-140 fow.... Monday am was a bit different. We started in 110 and trolled east. We had a good screen but like Sunday, no takers. After an hour of an east/west troll, we headed north. When we hit 160, Game on! Our first and biggest king( 22 lbs) came off the rigger 60 ft down. It hit a Warrior NBS. Within a few minutes we boated 2 more kings. We worked 160-190 and ended the morning with a nice mix of kings, steelies and a lake trout. Great color out there and a huge temp break in 190-200. Bright colors were good for us with copper and green being the most productive. Riggers and wire divers took most of the shots with a couple of bites from the lead cores/surface lures.
  10. Hey Times are tough. My kids need to learn to appreciate the food they are offered..( or forced to eat!)
  11. Rob, Great report. The browns were active in close as well. Upon pulling rods we stepped out into 30 ft and had a major rip off the rigger 20 ft down. We fought it for a while then lost it I took the boys out last night and the shoreline had decent color but not as good as Sunday. It was a tough bite. The bait was in heavy again. A few of the browns were spitting up alewives as we were netting them. My boys were having fun catching the alewives by hand off the dock!! WTF.....
  12. Fishing out of Sandy Creek continues to be incredible. This evening in a little over 2 hrs we boated over 25 fish. Browns, a Laker, 2 very small Kings, and a Coho hit the deck tonight. The quality of fish continues to improve. Most of the browns were in the 5-8 lb range. Warrior Lures confusion, modified blue dolphin, and wicked witch were the top producers. We worked from 5-8 ft of water mostly between the creek and Newman's. Good luck to those fishing this weekend. Lou
  13. Great Photo Rob. We are blessed to have such a great fishery right in our backyards!
  14. There are a few good ones on the market depending on your budget. The most popular ones are Fish Hawk, Moor Sub Troll and Cannon Speed n Temp. I use the Cannon speed n Temp and I have no issues with it. The benefit of the Fish Hawk vs the others is it is wireless. It runs off a transducer. which means you can put it on any rigger. The other 2 mentioned use a cable/antenna that is mounted to the rigger. Which ever one you choose, it is a must in helping increase your catch. Good Luck, Lou
  15. John Look into 3m boat cleaner for removing light oxidation/dirt. Another product to try is Gel Gloss. It is meant for fiberglass gel coats. If the gel coat is gone then you may have to look into a product called Poli Glo If gel coat is good after cleaning use Woody's Wax Products. They make a hull wax(called XXX) and a topside wax. The XXX wax is a son of a B to put on but works very well. The topside wax is easy to apply and works great for gunnels and hard tops, etc. In both cases the boat must be CLEAN otherwise it will seal in the dirt. Good luck I hope this helps! Lou
  16. Great report Joe. Nice to see a king this early. It was good seeing you after a long winter. We had 2 excellent days. Yesterday the NE winds moved the water around a bit but east of the creek was incredible.
