  1. Never did get my AP12H to calibrate either. Don't know why but it works just fine without the calibration. I was going to call tech support at Simrad before I pull the boat and address the problem after the Salmon are in the river. What Tim said was on the lines of what I was thinking also. Be sure to let us know if you find the problem. Glen
  2. Back in the old days my father and I would punch a hole in the tail of bass we caught in our local ponds. The hole would heal over but leave a definate scar that you could see. We would use a paper punch that left a small hole and punch off to one side of the tail. Our record was a largemouth that had 4 marks and weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. I could see Pauls point about the meaty fins but doesn't the DEC do fin clips? Alot of the lakers we use to take in the Finger Lakes were clipped and it sure didn't bother those fish. Cayuga and Seneca turned into Laker factorys. Glen
  3. Bill, That would be 3 LOC fish in two trips? Very nice work. Glen
  4. Aqua-view 210. Plastic polish and cleaner. Glen
  5. We've used Ande for years. Both pink and clear. Never had any problems or any reason to try anything else. Glen
  6. good job Rich. We'll be back in 2 weeks. Save some for us. Glen
  7. A huge thanks to the town of Wilson and the people who worked to put this together from team Spoonfed. It was a really great thing for them to do and it was done very well. Also enabled all us fishermen to get together and bullshi_ for a while which normally wouldn't happen after the Capts. meeting. Thanks Glen
  8. This unit is called a Clinefinder. It's in new condition. I used it on the Finger Lakes before I got my Subtroll and it works good. It's a well made unit Cost me $139.00 from Cabelas and I would let it go for half price $70.00. Heres a link if you want to check it out. http://www.technocat.com/ClineFinder_SEC_Flyer_1p.pdf Post or send pm if interested. Glen
  9. Rotate the piece of rubber tubing 90 deg then clamp down on it. If it still slips rotate it 180 deg but 90 usually works fine. glen
  10. Thanks for the info. Glen
  11. Anybody find the entry forms on there websight ? Got to be getting close to the due date for Niagara. Glen
  12. Don't believe you will even get close to 900 feet of 30 lb on a 27. Don't use those setups on the Big lake for Salmon. First good fish will spool you. Should do OK on the Finger Lakes loaded to the Rim with 30. Good luck. Glen
  13. Tent is still for sale and it's getting close to 4 mile creek time at the Niagara Bar. Glen
  14. Team Spoonfed will be there. Fishing all four this year. Sight 200 at 4 mile. Glen
  15. We dock the boat in Wilson and stay at 4 mile. For the pro-ams you have to leave from Wilson or Olcott. 4 mile doesn't have slips or a ramp. There is a ramp a few miles away at Fort Niagara park you can use for free if you are staying at 4 mile. Glen
  16. I have my Brown rods spooled up with 20 ff and floroucarbon leaders. Been using it for about 12 seasons or so and never had any more line twist than any other line. It lays on the reel just fine. If you get some line twist from loading it on the reels, same as any other line, just take the snap swivel off and let it out behind the boat at about 5 mph for a few minutes then reel it back on. This will remove all the line twist. Also keep your swivel free from fleas. If it can't swivel you will get line twist. Good fishing Glen
  17. This is a serious tent that is quick and easy to set up. It can be used in any weather from summer to winter and never get a drop of water inside. It can withstand winds up to 70 mph and at 12X12 ft it's like a cabin inside. I bought this tent for our spring trips out to the Niagara Bar because of the sometimes nasty weather out there and only used it for 2 trips and one Fall LOC. Now that my wife comes with me we rent a cabin so I am selling the tent. It is like Brand new and costs $669.00 plus has a floor liner that snaps out and can be machine washed that cost another $50.00. This tent is serious quality. Here is the link to Cabelas sight if you want to check it out. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... 02107&rid= I will let this tent go with the floor liner for $450.00 firm. It will last you a lifetime if taken care of. Shipping would be expensive and I start going up to Mexico every weekend the first weekend in April so if interested we could meet up there. Otherwise buyer would pay shipping. If interested send a pm, email or call my cell at 413 519-3019 and leave a message. Glen
  18. I went from a fish hawk to a subtroll and like it. Never really had any problem with the fish hawk except for it chewing up 9 volts. Glen
