  1. Years ago on my 90 merc I put on a Happy Troller. The only problem I had was I forgot to pop it up and took off after fishing. Bent the plate pretty bad. I found a replacement plate for it made by Dyco Marine. It was spring loaded and hinged in the middle and it was sweet. Huge improvement. You could actually get up to about 3500 RPM without damaging anything. Didn't have any steering issues though. Glen
  2. Finally got a chance to get the wife out and do a little derby fishing on Sat. Fishing still sucks. 6:00 am to 11:30 am. 1 fish 3:00 to 7:00 pm. 1 fish This morning I decided not to even waste the fuel. Got to pick up soon though and when it does I got a feeling it will be hot. One fish we took was short and should have weighed about 16 to 17 lbs was 21 on the Boga. Really healthy fish. Glen
  3. first guy that looked got it. Thanks for all the interest. Glen
  4. Richard. You have a PM. Glen
  5. I can include the awning frame and awning but not the deck. Yes Jeff has the key and all the paper work to make the transaction. Not sure what he has available for sights but tell him I sent you and he'll set you up with something decent. Glen
  6. Sorry for the slow response lineguy. I been up at the lake since Friday and just got home. You can reach me on my cell. 413-519-3019. Glen
  7. Sleeps 4 Adults. Sqeeze in a couple more if there kids. There is the bed in the bedroom and the table folds down into a bed. Just call me on the cell when you get up Ron. We'll be up every weekend. If you get up during the week, Jeff, the owner of the campgound has a key and can show it to you. Glen
  8. Looks real nice Brian. Congrats!!! Can't wait to see her on the water. I'll get a couple good pictures of her out there for you. Glen
  9. Very happy with our Traxtechs Glen
  10. After running Scottys for 14 or 15 seasons I've only needed there customer service twice. Once I swung into a gas dock and broke some plastic housing parts and had them at my door in 5 days. Could have had them overnight if I needed to. Another time out at the Niagara Bar I had a Scotty rookie on board and he retrieved a plastic bag up into the front roller and sheared a drive gear and smoked a belt. I made a call over the radio to see if my buddy had any spare parts on his boat. I received a call from Yvan on Get It Wet charters who told me he was a Scotty rep. and asked what parts I needed. I told him and he took one of his riggers apart and floated over the parts to me in a plastic bag. Replaced them on the water and back in business. Now THATS customer service. Also I've noticed every year I go up and down the Little Salmon river there are more and more boats switching over to Scottys. Thats a pretty good endorsment. Glen
  11. Will call you this evening. Glen
  12. Times are not that important to me. Everyone fishing that division is against the same clock. Just got to get your business done in the time thats allowed. The pierhead rule is a good one. If you decide to run 40 miles to your home port to get on fish thats your choice. Just be back to the pierheads on time. I don't see why a guy that runs to his home water, water he's familiar with, should have the same fishing time than a guy from the other end of the lake that is searching and fishing unfamiliar water. Should he have the right to? Absolutely and he does. Just be back on time. 7 hrs fishing is fine. 8 or 9 hrs is fine to. One thing for sure is I really liked the shorter lines at the weigh in. Glen
  13. Here are some more pictures of the inside. Had a lot of interest but nobody showed up to look last weekend. Come on out and take a look. Can't go wrong at that price.
  14. I have owned both and prefere the rollers at any launch for ease of loading and unloading. Tough to beat a roller trailer with an electric wench. Glen
  15. You use the existing rear hole and align the keel to the same angle as the first keel. Then drill a new hole for the front screw. When my copper rods go you can hear the "twang" as the copper exits the release. (Scotty) Glen
  16. Scottys. They just keep working year after year. Fast and built to last. Glen
  17. How do they get all these fish out of those holes in the ice without causing internal and spinal injuries? What happens to all those Bass that are removed from the water and handled completely by the bottom jaw then released. When a fish comes vertically out of the water like a rocket does this injure them? Glen
  18. Why don't you make him an offer on the black box for your boat Scott. Glen
  19. I'll vouch for this boat. Jan is a very mechanicaly inclined person and has kept this boat mechanicaly sound and very well maintained. Worth looking into. Jan I wouldn't advertise that black box if I were you. Glen
  20. Looks nice Jeff but out of my price range. We already picked up new old one that we could afford without payments. I was happy with the one we got but the boss wanted a little more room. Still got 3 bags of lures at the camper for you and Chris from the Niagara pro-am prize package. I'll get them to Chris if I see him this weekend Glen
  21. Frank, Don't know what he would charge for the winter months. I pay $1200.00 for the whole year. Anything other than that you would have to talk to the owner. Camper can be seen at J& J campground on Tubbs rd in Mexico on the weekends. Show up, take a look and we'll talk. Glen
  22. Thanks Tom, Thought they were trying to sneak one in on us. I did hear about the proposal. Almost time to start sending e-mails. Glen
  23. When did they start that? We have been filleting fish on the lake for years and as long as your at least 100 feet from shore you can legaly dump the carcass. Glen
  24. I used to do this but had to stop. What I used to do is after I netted the fish and took half his slime coat off in the net, I would then rip out all four hook points from the tournament tie that was all stuck in his face with a pair of pliers and then weigh him in the net and release. Had to stop doing this because one afternoon I poked my wifes eye out with the 10 foot long net handle that was flying around through the air with a meaner than usual 25 lb king in the bag. Poor girls eye was hanging down on her cheek and I had used all the antiseptic up on the fish. Man was she pissed. Didn't get any for a month. Now I just lip weigh them and if they complain I'll fillet em. Sorry I didn't fish this weekend Happy fishing Glen
  25. No. I was completely legal from top to bottom. Pays to have up to date flares and all required saftey equipment. Glen
