  1. I like the northern end near frontenac as previously stated. You can hammer perch and bass when your not trolling. Also it is close to boat acccessible wineries and good eating via the boat as well. Minutes away from the canal system if you want to take a cruise up the locks too. 20 minutes from bass pro is nice . Nas well. No where near as much boating, skiing, tubing and jet skiis on the north end compared to the south end in my opinion. The only thing I think the south end has over the north end is the early spring fishery for trolling is usually better. Skip a step and go troll Ontario for a weekend. You will forget about the Cayuga trout. lol That is exactly what I did. Love Cayuga but I lost interest in trolling it except for when my boy takes me out in his rig. Good luck
  2. I bet exhaust mainfolds if its an internal leak
  3. who are you kidding slow talker, you never set a beer down that wasnt empty anyways!
  4. BOING!!!!!! Cant wait to cure a big head aboard that tub. I am glad that there is at least one boat between us on the dock. Make mine look like a p.o.s
  5. Jaycr343, Slow talker (thats Jersey Jim) failed to mention the Red Dock because he normally cant remember much the next morning.
  6. Way to go. Any way you kill a thunder chicken is a good deal

  11. geez pete for a minute I thought you posted a pic of that new tub of yours errr , I mean of the red docks . lol
  12. My efforts finally paid off. I was working at camp when my oldest boy Gray Jr. came in and said, "Dad, take a break, I am taking you fishing. How do you argue with that? His boat, his rigs, (thanks Frank, a.ka. home office, uncle dirty, elk banger, train wreck, gadget head, etc) Calm seas and good fishing. He even packed us easter candy snacks and a beer for me. lol. We had a blast! A day I will never forget. Thanks buddy by the way, you have the trolling bug BAD!
  13. Get the furuno 585 posted on this site!
  14. The fishing is better towards the southern part of the lake this time of the year. I would head south. I havent trolled it in a few years though.
  15. I always figured it was to be the port in which the boat calls"home". Kind of so others know where the boat is from for various reasons.
  16. I consider one of the perks being the coast guard station is minutes away and easy radio distance from anywhere I fish. They "check" my boat every year at least once and although it can be a pain when you are trying to run out and fish or coming in, it doesnt take long and they have always been pleasant. It is a real peace of mind for me and my young family. The convenience of town and the best bagel and sandwich shop around is a perk too. Hotels for fishing guests and good restuarants are an added bonus. The only drawback I see is the Harbor fest traffic that infests Wrights Landing. Absolutely make a mess of the park and "Our" bathhouses.
  17. Just took it with my boys. I took it to run a jet ski if I choose and so they could run a jet ski with me earlier than if I didnt. Cost me 75 bucks for me and two boys. Good course but one more way NYS puts it to ya with sandy vaseline!
  18. I was up there this past weekend and it came up a couple inches over night. Its on its way up and it will recover
