  1. I've heard a fish hawk is a great upgrade...been considering one.
  2. I'm new to wire diver rods and was sent the following link by a fellow LOU member. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184982323137hash=item2b11ce3fc1:g:eOcAAOSwEtZg0jEc I have them rigged and ready. They seem decent for just getting into it. Have yet to use them. The guy selling them on ebay seems to have other setups as well. Hope this helps.
  3. Thanks for the help everyone. Used super glue. I'm sure hot glue or epoxy would have done the job too.
  4. Nice report Reel Doc! We went outa ibay without any luck in the rough seas. How deep were you fishing? Is that an atlantic? Ps Those great lakes planers trees are workin great
  5. Also just looked did a search on here and saw most recommended super glue.
  6. Got a couple wire dipsy setups. Looking to install the included twili- tips. Was able to watch a video installing with magic patch. The instructions recommend super glue. Does anyone else have other recommendations or experience with other adhesives?
  7. I bought some dipsy combos and will be fishing the finger lakes mostly. Should fly sizes be downsized for the fish I'm anticipating to catch in the fingers or should I fish the same size flies sold for lake ontario? I see names like atomik, rapture, Howie...etc. Not necessarily looking for anyone's favorite pattern. Thanks in advance.
  8. Sounds like an exciting solo trip, good job! How deep were you?
  9. Thanks for your help! I'll check out the links.
  10. Thanks for the heads up. Gonna have to pick some up. I've seen your reports and video using the chinook diver right behind the boat. Do you fish that setup mainly when the water is murky or is it succesful on clear water days as well? Ran a chinook diver the past couple trips out but maybe wasn't giving them the color or size lure they wanted.
  11. Was looking to purchase some of these but maybe it would be easier to buy everything separate and put it together?
  12. Was lucky to get outa work and get to the launch with a few hours to fish. Brought a friend and my son. Fished shallow for browns. Went 6/6 on spoons. Mostly cookie cutter fish. Water temps ranged 42-44 from what the fishfinder said. Fish have liked spoons with a bit of orange in them last couple trips. Good times!
  13. Nice report. I should have ran some more spoons like you. Got out later than I wanted. Boy was a bump on a log. First time ever fishing out of Ibay. Went 2/3 before things got rougher than we liked. All 3 came on Rosemary's baby stinger spoon. Also ran 3 bayrats and a stinger off chinook diver close to boat.
  14. Anyone know if the launch is open? Called a few times but no answer.
  15. Anyone buy these and use them with good or bad results? https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/okuma-wire-pre-rigged-trolling-combo-15okuukm1000ft30lcom/15okuukm1000ft30lcom?sku=13417510&camp=CSE:DSG_92700040958232008_pla_pla-510344393732&segment=&gclid=CjwKCAjwur-SBhB6EiwA5sKtjlJ5aW6cc6fg2VVkIGdWwKcvDJAc_qd1FHcIPQZTqOlvec-TDEdh2hoCJdQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  16. These are in great shape. Still available. Used only a couple times.
  17. Fat nancys was sold out of it the other day when my boy and I were there. Was curious what it looks like as well. Rapala has some lures in ayu i think. Not sure how similar they are though.
  18. I've got some church inline boards and love them. Haven't tried the others which I'm sure are great too. Church makes a bunch of different sizes which is nice. Good luck out there!
  19. Some look like stingers, what are the rest?
