I really wasn't sure where to put this so I put it here. I'm considering buying an inflatable PFD. Does anyone own any and if so what brand? Are they worth it? Any help is appreciated.

I see macks lure company out west makes some of their flashers that will emit scent when trolled. Wonder how some of those would work here on lake o. or the fingers.
Just ordered a coulple double rod trees from high seas gear. They swivel at the base or each rod holder for different angles depending on what model you want. They fit in all standard 3" tracks. Should get them this week. Pretty excited to try them out. They come in all sorts of configurations for planer boards and dipseys. Check them out.
Was all of this regarding the water intake and release not a problem years ago when NYSEG ran the power plant? Did people not care as much? Why was the fishing great years ago despite this warm water discharge? Does this discharge hurt the recruitment of lamprey? So many questions
What a joke. Why do they even still have a taskforce??? Suggestions won't be considered. Theres too many groups to please in the western zone making someone always left out. The current management plan remains until western zone hunters get shafted again by the next 5 year management plan.
Not sure if you have a leadcore setup but that would be worth having in your arsenal imo. Zoom flukes or something similar with 3/4-1 oz jig heads should work for jigging. I use that same fish finder with success. Sometimes fish will be up off the bottom and actively feeding but sometimes they won't show themselves until your jig is about to hit the bottom bc they might be hanging on the bottom. Sounds like your close. Good luck!
Give the state park a try. Some friends and I have had success there over the years. We used to cast out cleos, let them sink, and slowly reel them in. Seen some nice Lakers and bass caught from the shore and pier there.
I've caught kings in lake o tribs when I was younger but never experienced them in the lake. Im newer to spring brown trout trolling and am thinking I'll run into a king sooner or later when targeting browns. My setups are 8 ft diawa great lakes medium fast action rods, 20 and 30 series reels with 15 lb big game and12 lb floro leaders. What should I expect? Will these setups hold up to an occasional spring king?
I'm newer to trolling browns on Ontario but used the LS last year with success. Picked up some of the S3's and SS designs in preparation for the coming spring. Can't speak for colors on the east end as I fish more west, but hear alot of guys using the goby patterns with success. I couldn't get my hands on any goby bayrats until later in the season when I was done fishing shallow. Can't wait to get out there to catch some browns!
I just ordered a couple chinook divers and can't wait to use them. It will allow me to add a quick extra rod in the spread. Do they release quite easy when a fish strikes? If so, is the release adjustable?
