  1. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Bravo ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8-14-10 Time on Water: 6 am - 11 am Weather/Temp: nice day - high 70s to 80s Wind Speed/Direction: S Waves: 2-3 Surface Temp: 75 in 120 fow and 70 close to shore Location: IBay LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated: 3 Species Breakdown: steelhead, kings Hot Lure: spoons Trolling Speed: 2.5- 3.2 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 100 - 220 Lure Depth: 40 - 90 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Fished with a good Ibay master of kings, Chris of momay4000. With the recent East winds, we had to start over in terms of finding baits and targeting fishing depths. We started out with south wind blowing from the shore. Waves become bumpier as we go further out north. Set up with Two riggers ranging from 40 to 90, two divers 185 and 225 on setting #3, and 500 copper. Started in 100 fow. Steelie and king took spoons. For the lack of my knowlege, the spoon is light green and has red on the other end. No action on spin doc fly set up on diver rods. It became quiet in 220 fow and we picked up and started again in 130 fow. No action except a sneaky skipper found pulling behind the spoon when we reeled itin for the day. I am curous if others caught brown inshore because when We came back to shore, we found more boats. Without down temp, it looks like others found cold water closer to shore. 2. Hey Mark, Come on already, I am very eager to see that picture of a big fat monster striper bass. Got a seat for you when you return to RIT in the fall. tight lines!
  3. I would pay good money to be an observer on any one of these best fishing teams in the Lake O. If it wasnt for the family outing, I would love to join this exciting event.
  4. Good job on landing a quality king for your neighbor.
  5. Thanks for the good report. Im glad to hear the bigger fish are showing up.
  6. Thumbs up on torpedo. Hate the pancake as I had to be sure the keep the tail straight.
  7. Ted, Fishing has slowed down somewhat in Ibay. I have heard from a buddy who took fish 5 for 8 on Saturday out NE of Ibay. I went out on Saturday late morning between Genny and Ibay. I have been on the land for two weeks just to heal my sore back. We took a small 7 lbs King in the first 15 minutes over 100 FOW. Then, there was NO action for the next two hours and half. tight lines.
  8. Captcove, The guys who have answered your questions were very eager and yet overly generous to help you out. You will find that this is not an everyday occurence on other fishing site. The guys at LOU are the nicest guy you would ever run into. But of course, theres always one or two nasty apples in every bucket. Being nice and all, I will chime in about the evil eye lure posted by ON THE LAM. This black and silver bolt is my favorite spoon to catch the big steelhead. Even though, I am only in my 4th year trolling and I can tell you that I have caught several large steelheads on them. tight lines.
  9. Guys, congratulations on making a memory of a lifetime for the little guy. Im very proud about how you guys have brought this young fella to the wonderful world of fishing.

  12. Awesome. 60 lbs fish!!!! For sure, this one would break my back if I was to fight a big 60# king!
  13. Whoa! Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures of your trip to Alaska. About your trip to Kenai river, I sure had hoped my good buddy Dean has taken good care of you.
  14. Been there and done that. I think the cost of my trade up I made on my ex would have gotten me a much bigger boat ALL PAID FOR if I did not hire that very expensive divorce attorney.
  15. Whoa! Thats a beautiful seaworthy vessel! Best of luck on catching many many fish on her.
  16. Im very glad to hear about you taking your Dad out on the water despite the bumpy conditions.
