  1. He has some heavy bend Kodak wobblers blanks he is painting up now that dance at slow lakers speeds.
  2. Dave has been around awhile. Great blanks, great paint jobs. He is a one man show.
  3. Best I could ever remember today.
  4. Anchor Marine on Grand Island might be able to help you.
  5. ......and......the hearts were just torn out of all the LOC hopefuls (mine included).
  6. We were seeing lots of big one year olds of the 17-21” range last year. Biggest shakers I have ever seen. This class of kings grew up with the record 2016 hatch of alewives to feed on. These are two year olds now. Not sure if we are looking at classic predator/prey curve or a heavy natural reproduction year in the tribs. As others have said ....enjoy it!!!!
  7. There is more larger sized alewives as a percentage in the spring than any other time of the year. Always good to go big in spring for kings and lakers.
  8. She is a beauty this year.

  10. Certainly better fishing than your South Dakota fish eh?
  11. Depends on wind direction but this time of year 50’-200’. Easier active fish will be in top 60’.
  12. Need a little more info.
  13. This year's two year old class of kings is huge. Keep them- great table fare.
  14. Browns and sheepshead also.
  15. I place a a barrel swivel four feet in front of a flasher. This helps with twist.
  16. If you have a swim platform, keep the fish in the net there, hook out, release. No poop. The other option is to have a wet towel laid out on the floor or dog box. Place the netted fish on the towel while you take the hook out. Rinse towel and repeat.
  17. I thought he was looking for info on how to catch an Atlantic Salmon on Lake Ontario.
  18. Bigger kings have always come later in the day.....esp. when everyone is back to port. Browns in the spring often turn on as the water warms late morning. Sleep in!
  19. Two weeks ago they were showing steady past 70’
  20. Question about the $1,000 per day event leading up to the invitational..... is a boat able to enter as many fish as it is able over 20lbs with the largest entry by the boat that day as the final and only entry. For example, a fish over twenty pounds is weighed and entered in the morning, then a larger fish is entered by the registered boat in the afternoon.....I would assume the larger fish becomes the entry. Also, can a registered boat win more than once per week? Thanks.
  21. I am looking at replacing my dated Boat gauges as I look to redo my console. All gauges work so wiring and sending units are working. Questions: 1. Can I just replace old gauges with new? 2). Do I have to replace sending units also? 3). Do I have to make sure the ohms is the same with the replacements? 4). What am I missing?
  22. I use a heavy dog clip instead of a light shower curtain ring to aid in the slide. My boards are out to the side (almost 90 degrees) with double 1/2 keels additions that make a taught line.
  23. Choker, go to Northportnailer.com and look at their "wild thing" spoons. It is the same blank as the old producer spoon with better paint jobs. They do not carry the mag size however.
