How are you dealing with the rising price of gas?

Looks like I have inherited an old fuse block with both positive positions for fuses and a built in terminal bar for the grounds? I am not sure what I am looking at on the transom. Perhaps some older welding mat material with both positive and negative posts like a terminal bar instead of using crimp attachments? Tell me what I am looking at on the transom.

If I run a torpedo weight on copper, I send it Waaaaaay out on my otter boats and use an aftco roller release secured about 15’ from the board. You don’t want to dump these into your divers so I stand on my dog box with rod high and let it out really slow. Let it ride in the hardtop holder a bit to let it level out before sending it out on the planer line.

For areas of strong down currents like off the Niagara Bar, I pull one side before turning.

Most years the peak spawning has already happened by April 1st opener. There is a trickle run that continues after the crowds leave. The part that is damaging is the shoulder to shoulder wading and disturbance of the redds/gravel. I did the derby a few times as one of my college friends lived in Naples and turned me onto the fishery. The initial excitement evolved into me feeling dirty to be part of the **** show so I stopped. The benefit is getting kids hooked on fishing.

I can’t imagine out of state folks wanting to book a trip to NY to go see all the pretty solar panels. The whole environmental benefit argument goes right out the window when you are swapping living plants for solar panels. Put them on the top of buildings, the infrastructure to hook into is already present. NYS says they want to reduce carbon footprint and yet how much gas is used to mow the grass around highways???? I wish there was altruism at work unfortunately it is about a select few getting rich. There are no lines at the gas stations, nor any shortage of gas flowing out of the Americas and Canada and yet we are back to 4$ per gallon. A select few getting rich. Where are the “well I didn’t vote for him” bumper stickers now??
