  1. And how did you get that little tidbit of information Gray? Past performances? Hey guys, let me know when the party starts. Can't wait to christen your new rig Gray. Dennis says he can't wait too. Got any pics yet? BOB, it can't start soon enough. I'm glad to see you survived your most recent adventure.
  2. Congrats on the new rig Jim, SWEEEET and good luck
  3. Sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
  4. Don't overthink this, either way will be fine. Don't give lakers too much credit. I used to use small silver or green flatfish behind cow bells for lakers, with good results, that was in Lake George NY. (took a 26"LL on that also (silver FF) BTW where are you fishing.
  5. The only report Ray is going to give this weekend is how much Labatts, Captain Morgan, and Adirondack chowder they consume.
  6. Will do on the info. Really in the early season its just as important to find the warmest water, the rest will take care of itself. river/stream outflows are a good start. Alewifes aren't the only, or maybe not even the primary shallow water bait, gobys are also something you should look at and find some imitations, (sticks/spoons).
  7. Choo where is your boat on the Peapacton?? I used to be in Hammer Hallow (powerlines) until the boat got stolen. I loved that place, probable one of the most peaceful places i've ever been to. Not to mention MONDO browns
  8. It's Capt. Sig on the Northwestern. Mark did you drop a string of crab nets??
  9. Skunk!!! Like the day my observer for the hit a skunk with his truck on the way to the marina the first morning of the the Oswego Pro Am. You could guess how that day went...
  10. Hey Mark, yea I really have never seen the Sirius weather in action so I can't say, but I hear its as good as it gets. I'll give the laptop more time this season and see where it takes me.
  11. Welcome, you came to the right place. BTW most guys usually buy a boat, get the fishin thing down and then get the home on the lake, LOL . your ahead of the game.
  12. My thoughts and prayers as well. A true American Hero.
  13. Does anyone use a wireless laptop while out on the lake?? I do, and find it to be quite useful. I know its an added expense (40$ per month), but between realtime radar/weather reports, coastwatch and such, it comes in handy. I must admit my service (verizon) is provided by my employer, but after reading that you have to pay for sirius weather (30$) fed into your plotter, the laptop certainly is another option, (if you already have one)! BTW, i have not lost a connection on the lake at any time, and its nice to send pic's home shortly after they happen. I am going to attempt to upload video as it happens, we'll see how that goes. Any thoughts???
