  1. If the motor is solid, that is a great deal. Where could you get a turn key troller of that size ready to go for that price. Sorry you lost your dad, good luck.

This guy is my hero. Anybody who can duck hunt, fish, target practice and drink beer at the same time is a master outdoorsman Wonder what the fish said to deserve the firing squad
  3. Hey Rev., welcome aboard. Hey ya think you could hook me up with a special "brown trout prayer". I'm looking for a 30 pounder??
  4. E Chips have taken plenty of fisherman, thats for sure.
  5. The most dramatic difference between the Cannon mag20 dt ts and the Scotty is the price After you add the ratchet rod holders to the cannon its at about 1400. ea.? You could get three Scotty pro pacs for that. Unless there is something the cannon does the any of the other brands don't do, where is the justification in the price? After all there only function in to drop and retrieve a lead ball I have had Cannons in the past (digi trolls and mag 10's) I'm glad a "Cannon rep" once told me when asked "what kind of rigger would you put on your new boat? he said " you kidding! Scottys! no lie!! I once sold 4 used Mag 10's on Ebay, and made enough to buy 4 new Scottys. don't know what the attraction really is?? Must be the marketing i guess. BTW I am a weekend troller, no sponsors.
  6. I would to do a deer with that gun, right in the ear, no damaged meat LOL Like u said, the farmers love to hear those guns barkin in the summer
  7. Hey Mark, I forgot to mention the scope. Its a Mueller http://www.muelleroptics.com/products/MU852550IGR.html 3900 fps is smokin....... I dont hand load, but I wish I did. I was able to use the Remington ballistics calculator to get my elevation and windage clicks down. I'm tuned in to 600 yds. every 25yds. I have kills out to 560, and I missed at a little over 600 last season. those shots are hard to find in NJ. Usually they are across more than one piece of property LOL.. Let me know how you killin goes. Talk to ya later RED MIST
  8. Does anyone here shoot groundhogs when there not trolling... and what weapon and round are you using?? I shoot a Savage Model 12FV. I went to a Choate (Major Plaster) sniper stock and a 50gr. remington 22-250 boatail accutip. Planning on going out tomorrow for the first time this season.
  9. Hey Bob, what kind of wood did u use for the boards... I used those plans with cedar and they have held up well, maybe 8 years now. BTW, I would have mounted two beer can holders below the reels on the mast
  10. Tom, U are officially the "KING" of BOLD TYPE and ICONS
  11. That is a sweet deal. A complete turnkey hardcore salmon/trout troller for a great price!
  12. I have had good results with a J-9 rapala (brown trout) in recent years, especially early in season in water less than 30'. I didn't consider the color and shape comparison to a goby but the color is right and it gets results. I don't see how some of the spoons shown here in any way resemble the shape or color of a goby. IMHO. They do catch fish though.
  13. I like "Road Troller". Is there a prize to be won???
  14. This may help... Here is a picture of it. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/p ... ts0003.jpg
  15. The best part about the Gobies is that they feed the damn cormorants !! It keeps them off the juvenile game fish.
  16. I had good success with the white crushed glo and a glo hammer later in the season, I think i ran a T.G fly alot also. Need to invest in a few more.
