  3. it will be fine, i had the exact same engine, used synthetic automotive gear oil in mine for ten years, no seal leak, no metal on the magnet, marine oil has the ability to incorporate water better, that is the only difference, and single weight is because outboards run in a narrower temp range than automotive rear ends do. everyone gets so worked up, keep the ”gl” rating the same or better you will be fine, and remember, an automotive oil is engineered to work under for greater stresses ”load and temp” than our outboards can exert on those gears. sorry for the long winded reply, Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. i loved mine, i had a motorgiude with wireless remote, linked to two lowrance fish finders, i could set routes, mark waypoints and return to them, , just point and go! always kept the boat going in the correct direction, even in a crosswind, the anchor mode was great too, i used to jig for browns with cleos , was so much fun, was also nice when bass fishing, set up on a slow troll line and just cast, no fighting wind or a shifting boat, long story short, they work great, and a much cheaper alternative to an octopus autopilot, or swapping over to hydro on an older boat, hope that helps. tight lines

  7. you can always check other sites, boats.com , boat trader, yacht trader and see what they selling for. NADA and kbb are useless , the market is nutty right now, [this may make some people mad].. i see some boats selling used for more than they sold for new 5 years ago, two safe bets, 1- either start really high [you can always lower the price] 2- talk to a broker, they will have more a feel for the market right know. i can say from experience, you may want to put a deposit down on the next boat before getting rid of this one. good luck, and have some tissues ready.
  8. plugs are easy to swap out, it's worth a try, the other thing you can do, when is about to stall, spray some silicone or starting fluid in the carb, just an easy step to further diag the fuel system, [fuel pump, or carb float]

  21. as long as your kicker has a charging system, you don't have to do anything. but if not, your going to want to install another battery that's deep cycle and isolate it with a perko switch. that second battery will be your electronics battery, your original battery will only be for starting your main motor. then you can charge the second when the main motor is running Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
