Out fish for Kings today and my buddy Ken noticed one rod was not running right. The spotted bass was 5 1/2" long and the Herring bait was 5"

CaptSpike Out west here on the big salt pond Luhr Jenson flash fly where not heard of until some one figured that tinsel flies are very popular on the great lakes, I am sure even today there are not that many in use on the big salt pond. As far as one over the other, one has to do with confidence in what your using.

The wife took me to Portland Friday and let me pick out my new boat for the big Pacific. She will be rigged and ready for Kings, Coho, Tuna plus halibut . This is what she looks like at this point on Friday

We headed out of Trinidad early Sunday morning, have not seen the ocean this calm in years. We boated 4 Kings from 40Lbs to my small 18 Lber. But to be able to put fresh Kings in the freezer once again after so many years of no Salmon season was like hitting the lottery
