  1. Well that just ain't right. I'll bet you were looking for a fight. Had king salmon in your sight. Keep it up and you just might
  2. It's no big thing, it's just Radioactive Tritium from Japan. Sure took a long time to reach you guys.
  3. Well Driver, over come and adapt . Which you did and it looks to have paid off. Mark thanks for the one picture and report
  4. I run a Depth Raider on the starboard side and a Fish Hawk X4 on the port, I would have to say the X4 for great depths. My Depth Raider stops reading at 225' but the X4 keeps on ticking to 500' out west here where we are fishing at 280' to 300' in the summer.
  5. "Thanks guys can you just give me an idea on where to find them in general though.or a good starting point " It's alway easy to say read everything here , but you could spend months and never find the answer your looking for. Sounds like he is looking for the basic of what temp, kind of lures and what time of the year what to use on sunny day or cloudy day what about at 70' over 40' what kind of down speeds. Just curious myself now where do you start to read ? or just say go by Capt Dan Keating's Great Lakes Salmon and Trout book ?
  6. For a number of years now the Suick Wrangler, off copper line has been my deadest set up. The CKJ-1 sucker, CKJ-6 Erie Walleye and the CKJ-8 Bait fish down speed of no more than 1.9

  8. Matt at it again with some nice looking fish, thanks for the help as well
  9. Matt Nice looking fish. happy to see some one has been on the water.
  10. fisheye007 The only Kwickfish I like for West Coast Lakers/Mackinaw are the rainbow broken back have been deadly as well as the Suick Wranglers. The Wranglers have out fished the Kwickfish for me on any given day. Put the Wrangler on copper line and hold on
  11. fisheye007 Your friend in Colorado most likely has Kokanee in those lakes. If that is the case then the Suick Wrangler is his best bet. The CKJ-8Baitfish , CKJ-6 Erine Walleye and the CKJ-1 Sucker have been my best on the lakes in Oregon I fish for Lakers/Mackinaw. Have him run them 50' off the ball with a down speed of 1.9 to 2 Copper line is another deadly tool out west here for Lakers/Mackinaw. running the same hard body baits.
  12. They look like a knock off of the Abu Tormentor, that can only be purchased in Europe and Asia
  13. For you that have friends or family on west coast and miss the competition of tournaments have them check us out. http://wcftournaments.com/
  14. Great looking stick, sounds like a blast on the water with your daughter helping out. Thanks for sharing
  15. My fishing partner and I where catching Kings off the boards, when we noticed a pair of Osprey circling above us at about 50'. Then one of the two dove down and turned and hit Dales Chartreuse Yozuri 100' back off the tow line feet first, taking another 150' to 200' of line and the fun began. Dales rod was bent like he had a 40 Lb ocean run King on and no control of the bird. With a lure stuck in his/her foot circling the boat at about 10' off the water wrapping up 6 rods, antenna and mast on the bow of the boat he/ she circled the boat about 23 times before falling into the lake. Once the lure was taken out of his/her foot, I placed the net under he/her and walked he/her to the bow of the boat and away from us. Hope you enjoy the pictures. OFF ON THE LOWER RIGHT YOU CAN SEE A WING AS IT WAS FLYING ONCE AGAIN
  16. Thanks Mark ( skipper19 ) for helping me spend my hard earned retirement checks. Everyone out west here says I look like an off shore Tuna Schooner. Last Oct myself and 3 friends landed 86 Bass, 49 Rainbows and 5 Kings in one day of fishing with the Mast and 4' boards. One buddy said this is not fishing but a job. East coast methods of delivery work out here as well. Thanks Guys
  17. Well I got them mounted today and I guess can add another 12" rod on the water. Now I have 3 Mag 20s I need to sell.
  18. My fishing partner Bill sent this to me this evening. They landed 1 30 LB native that had to be released. Hatchery fish only can be kept.
  19. Little help here on the boom size. not sure which way to go 2',3, or 4' sectional with 12 Lb and 13Lb weights ? We are fishing at 150' to 280' starting end of April. Thanks in advance

  21. Myself I have a Depth Raider on the Starboard side and a Fish Hawk X4 on the port side. The Depth Raider quits reading at 225' where the Fish Hawk will continue with no problems down to 400' , now I have not been any deeper with it yet.
