richard i'm afraid i have to disagree with you mayby on a charter boat situation the capt is in full comand as it is his decisions that put food on the table for his family however: if a guy puts a team of friends together for a pro-am he is sure of the ability of those friends and would be willing to listen to each member and make a group judgement on the spread to run as each has an equal stake as far as researching a team to observe for.... usually you agree to observe to help out a friend and you dont know the boat you will be placed on until the capt's meeting the night before the derby if a group of guys cant fish for 2-days w/o ill feelings they better get there own boats or take up golfing respectfully... todd

Hi tom just a couple thoughts for next year The online sign-up will be good but mayby you could involve a local sport shop ( screwy louies//// fat nancy's ) both now in oswego as they are open into the evening hours Possibly involve the ports in JEFFERSON county as well... even if it only gets a couple boats just throwing my thoughts out there todd -

bottom-feeder replied to rdebadts's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
there are always many guys that wont share their info on any species...most of the guys on here are very willing to help someone out.. guess thats why they are members here... i know its done my own fishing a world of good with the knowledge here on this site... my opinion if ya need a pair of sneakers go to dicks if ya need fishing gear go to a local sport shop... better equipment/selection and good info mostly -

Henderson/Stony Point?
bottom-feeder replied to ofmanyone's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
best bet due to lake levels is launch at the public launch in henderson harbor... head out the trench towards the lighthouse... possible brown action up the east shore of the trench ( boats were trolling it last weekend ) lake trout head out to 100 fow and troll out from there... i've been doing ok from 120-150 fow... green dolphin spinny with agitated frog fly been productive as long as cowbells and peanuts/spin-n-glo's even picked up a coho last sunday off a dipsy 160' out over 120 fow w/ moonshine spoon GGOD LUCK and sorrry about your dog -
