  1. its early for salmon in that area for lakers head out the trench ( south ) between stony point lighthouse and stony island... run out to about 90-100 fow and set up very close to bottom and troll out from there .... they should be somewhere between 100-180 fow possible walleye and northern action troll from assoc island northward up into black river bay 20-60 fow for lakers run cowbells and flatfish SLOWLY around 1.4 - 1.8 or spoons ( greens a good color to start with ) ; spin dr's and flies may work also eyes and northerns try stick baits shallow and deep divers if you have a radio channels 68 and 19 are common up that way GOOD LUCK and post a report on how you do
  2. if you dont have an SD card for your GPS.... check the topo map link in the left coloumn here... there are some good cliffs and humps out in that area that will take your rigger balls real quick cowbells and flatfish are usually effective up there if that area doesnt produce for ya slide out towards the galoo islands and try it....but again watch the shoals the edge of the shipping lanes should be setting up pretty good now with all this warm weather coming this week

  4. states right i n the rules thats its open to all lake ontario.....there shouldnt be any pressure on anyone about any fish brought in from another port...... guys better quit crying about nothing or there wont be any derby
  5. i was up north farther last wknd walleye fishing but did hear it was a tough bite down there over the weekend last i knew it was still a shallow bite 8-15 fow and no doubt a early bite
  6. WTG to them if they did and wanted to make the drive derby is open to the entire lake in NY waters

  10. i use the off-shores and am happy with them HOWEVER there is some real good reveiws on the new Z-boards i havnt had the chance to try them yet so cant fairly compare
  11. we struggled today 2- 5 lb eyes in the box by 5.30 then never moved another rod rest of day did a little searching around late morning and found nothing but crystal clear water overall a good derby.... bree ended up 4th in the BT division with her 11.2 lber caught sat top of wally board was 12.13 lbs BT was 12.0 lbs lake trout was 18.07 lbs northern pike was 12.15 many 10 lb eyes were unable to even get on board temporarily after fri as the bottom side was 11.02 lbs many nice fish were caught in each category...CONGRATS to all those who entered fish MANY THANKS to all involved in putting on this great east end derby
  12. tough day today west winds 20 +... 3-5 ftrs all day stayed in close to try and get a better ride managed 3 hits 1 northern about 5 lbs 2 browns 5 and 11 lbs daughter had her camera so here is the 11 lber she is currently 2nd in the BT division

  14. nice morning before the fog came in about 7... cleared by 8 then another wall came through about 11 with some pretty good west winds... had a decent day with 4 northerns and 1 eye....nothing over 6 lbs would have some pics except for when i leaned over the boat to revive the eye and make sure he would swim away and grow up.. my camera slipped out of my pocket and i guess you know the rest ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================
  15. good day to be out best bite was early then wind turned around and instant lockjaw biggest eye was 9.6 ( daughter currently in 3rd ) few smaller northerns 4-6 lb range lots of sheepsheads 5-10 lb range
  16. heard the eyes were biting in the pond so i headed there this am managed a few small ones 15-17 inches did get one 7 lber for dinner
  17. eyes been hit and miss each day but well worth bringing the boat

  19. great job pat i'll be in henderson for the spring classic next wknd but after that be back over mexico way
  20. no i observed last year for a am team one of the guys got his capt lic over the winter and we are going to fish the oswego open and mayby one over west
  21. tried last night 5-6-10 and it didnt even give the OPEN as an option
  22. Hi Pat yes i beleive a GUIDE must enter pro division if interested the OPEN division is an option for smaller teams with a capt or guide
