Thanks for the post Larry. I am in guys. I have two Tuff Shads on they way! Look out. I am also working on a kicker motor and if everything goes just perfect I'll have my boat down there. Otherwise I'll be fishin with Solgrande wich aint so bad either! That 8ft St Croix would make a nice addition to our arsenal!!!! Cant wait to get there! I hear the first round is on Capt. Larry.

Guys, I need a kicker bad. My 1989 90hp evinrude is noooo good for trolling. I found one at Mayers but they want 500 for a 1958 without controls. I cant use a tiller because my kicker plate is 18" off back and add casting deck.......just to far to reach! I dont have a lot to spend so if anyone has one they just dont need PLEASE send me a PM. thanks Lee

You got way too much time on your hands! On the foam thing. Would foam add bouyancy and therefore less depth? Not sure just a thought.

Nice report BH. Thats the kind of report I like, gives a guy something to go on! We were over there saturday but did not do so well. Wendy caught a nice 3lb smallie though. I got to go swiming for my Curado. Dont know how but I managed to let go of it casting. I dropped on the deck and could not reach it......so I jump up, throw my wallet down, take off my shoes, and in I go. Got my Curado back but when I climb back in the boat I realize I got my phone in my pocket! I been trying to dry it out in the oven every sence! My contract is up so new phone is way cheaper!

Nice Fish!! We camped in cape vincent last year and did well on the pike around carlton island. Nothing that big though! Congrats!

Spanker you ever see A person burn alive because the seatbelt was jammed? It happens! This is why our forefathers fought and died for our FREEDOM. So we can choose what is right individually. Dont think I dont understand the logic because I do. However I believe in God and when he says its my time...... there is no LAW in NYS or any other that will keep me from him. So its ok to believe what you do. JUST DONT IMPOSE YOUR BELIEFS ON ME AS LAW! Were does it end?

Hey TM I think this is all about lawsuit protection. Everyone is sueing for one thing or another! Hell you cant buy a cup of coffee without 15 warnings telling you it is hot! I cant believe that swimbait has enough lead in it to hurt anyone. You are right Zach there is no option in that situation. I guess its like Nitro said if we really cared that much we would not fish for them at all. I guess we just have to do the best we can to minimize our effect on the population as a whole and try to educate those who dont understand the delicate nature of this beast!

Well skunked its really a bad time of the year to fish pike. Big pike are stressed by warm water temps and seek deep cold water and feed little. Although I did hear of an 11lber being taken recently at Conesus last month trolling deep divers. If you dont care about size the action can be fast for small to medium sized pike in the shallow weed beds. Just rip a safty pin spinner or lipless crank bait over the weeds you should find some takers and bass too. Good Luck

Hey Akita. I am a Process Engineer/ Machinist and we used the liquid Rhino Liner on a Plywood plattform we built for a particular job in the shop. It was exposed to machine coolant 24/6 for 2yrs and it held up great! Also very slip resistant. I am sure u cannot abuse it more than that in your lifetime! Good idea I bet it works great!

I find it interesting that they are always crabbing the center of the bait, not going for the eyes as most theroies suggest!
