  1. Any recommendations? I just hear orange. Patterns in stingers or ss's?
  2. 13 miscellaneous spoons. A couple pirate 44's, a few 3.25" contenders, and a few 3.75"-4" silver streak and fishlanders. $23 shipped.
  3. Here's the big guy. Today I caught all the bigger kings on a north troll between 2.5 and 2.7.
  4. Lol. I am enjoying catching some silvers and ill be back but still enjoy my eye fishing. Be nice to get a few more fish but can't complain. I'm learning.
  5. Considerably calmer than Wilson this morning. Decent east chop down there.
  6. Not to bad considering the tournament. Ended up with three nice kings and three skippers. Lost a very acrobatic steelhead behind the boat. Not bad for a guy who's pretty green for lake o. A few swings and misses an a good rip on the leadcore as well.
  7. Looks that way. Out to 190. Surface temp is creeping up. Still no whacks.
  8. Just set up in 70 fow working north straight out. Out to 120, not marking much. Few schools of bait.
  9. I don't spend much time on lake Ontario but a glow frog stinger always seems to produce well for me
  10. Cheap walleye harness holder is a piece of pipe insulation in a tennis ball tube. That's how I store my worm harness and dipsy leaders, slider leaders. I just use a push pin to keep them in place.
  11. Be back for another shot at it tomorrow. This might be the last trip up for a while with the daytime walleye bite about to get going on Erie. Not many reports this week with the pro am on the line. Thinking of running some of the spread up a little higher to target coho and steelhead. Problem is I don't have much in the way of orange, only a couple spoons with orange in 3.25" length.
  12. I have a few of these laying around from walleye fishing. Anybody use them on lake o off boards?
  13. Bar to the Oak, I was out of Wilson Saturday. Usually only fish spring browns and then near shore until the Lake Erie day bite gets going for eyes.
  14. I did notice Saturday the two nice coho I caught were both heading in a NNW direction.
  15. I'll check into the thumper rod, so generally is north/south troll closest replication of SOG to ball speed? Probe were looking at about $500ish? I only fish the lake a couple times a year.
  16. I do not have a speed and temp probe and I'm looking at some pointers for trolling speed without one. It's not in the cards to go out and purchase one. I was out Saturday and was struggling to catch fish. I would imagine that the current is typically moving from west to east as I noticed I was moving considerably faster when traveling in this direction. Should I crank up the trolling speed when moving with the current? I was basically trying to stay between 2.3 and 2.7 and asked another angler and he was going 3.7 when traveling east to get 2.7 at the ball. Also, any general speed for trolling west into the current? Will down speed be close to SOG? Thanks for the info.
  17. Battlehammer, what was your S.O.G.? I think that may be my biggest issue. I stayed primarily between 2.3 and 2.6 S.O.G. Nice going on the kings. That was my target but no dice. 7lb. Coho was a nice fish.
  18. No probe for me. Both the nice cohos came down 45 on rigger. I'm new to this game. No nice kings for me today. Maybe next time. Beuatiful day nonetheless.
  19. Two decent cohos. No screamers yet. Worked out to 200 nothing. Most boats in100-150. Working back. Both came on glow frog stinger.
  20. Out here now. 50-150 to the west. Marking decent numbers. Haven't moved a rod yet.
  21. I'm assuming this is because of the pro-am this weekend? Thinking of some recreational silver chasing tomorrow morning in the Wilson area, should be plenty of boats out.
