  1. Praying this hard ENE wind begins to die down
  2. Anybody on the lake or see the lake around Olcott/Wilson today? Planning to fish tomorrow morning. I'm guessing there should be a good mudline from Tuesday night/Wednesday morning stiff NW winds and runoff.
  3. Ended up 11/11. Water was clearing quick. What a beautiful day.
  4. If anybody gets a look at the lake today around Olcott or the Oak could you let me know water color conditions. Hoping to hear there's some color in the water. Thanks
  5. If you don't want to strip all the line off just tie a small barrel swivel that will pass through the eyes of your rod and attach a 10 foot segment of 10-12 lb fluoro.
  6. I'm no expert on Lake O but spring shoreline bite is about the easiest program I know.
  7. Ferry might produce a fish or two
  8. Pulled this pig through the ice Saturday 3/1 down in Ohio. 12.25 lbs. One of many hogs landed. Had an absolute blast.
  9. $6 a pop seems a little steep since they sell for less at retailers. Just sayin.
  10. About 20" at my place in East Aurora. Redfield received 60".
  11. Call customs first. You will definitely have to pay duty and have some paperwork.
  12. Looking for a short boom manual downrigger to mount to a clamp on base or a clamp on manual downrigger. I had two that I clamped on to the transom of my aluminum for fishing Lake Ontario and am down to one after one ended up on the bottom of the lake (don't ask). Let me know, thanks.
  13. I'm assuming you're talking Burt Dam. In terms of accessing the creek for wading there is only one access point at Fishermans Park. If you're not fans of crowds I would suggest you stick to the Salmon River. Not trying to be a jerk but there's a reason the place is more commonly referred to the the zoo or the circus. I live 45 minutes away and won't go here. Don't worry about trying to find honey holes, there will be an angler every 15-20 feet or so as the crowds are starting to thin out a bit. If you want some solitude, fish the frog water.
  14. No lol. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Will post results if its a go.
  15. Hopefully the lake forecast will hold, light south winds. As much as I love fishing for erie perch the excellent walleye fishing has the freezer filled up with about 35 lbs of fillets. Can anybody recommend spoon colors for steelhead and trolling speed? I don't have j plugs for trying in tight so I was thinking to pull some bombers or reef runners for an hour first light. A nice hen would make my day.
  16. No probe for me so finding temp is not possible
