  1. Outstanding job buddy. Them Custom painted BakerTimeTrophy Cranks sure do well for you! Amazed you haven't worn em out yet!
  2. Thank you sir!! Dont forget about my driver Katia, its been beautiful to see her cut up them currents like a pro.
  3. As new charter captains Ive always wondered if we could compete against the veteran captains ive always looked up too and where exactly did we fit in. Katia and I have been down at Ernsts for the last 2 years and its easy for me to say that with the help of other captains (I believe the some of the best on the lake are at Ernsts) we've learned more in the last 2 seasons than our previous 30 years. We entered the last King of the Oak events this past Sunday just hoping n praying we could somehow hold onto 5th place that we were currently in bc some huge names were in town. We had a skeleton crew of just Katia, my buddy Tom Schutlz and I. We grinded out our gameplan and stayed with it all day ending up 3rd with big fish of the event also, finishing 2nd total for the series. To say it was a dream come true is an understatement and showed that yes, we have grown as anglers with the help of others and our own personal belief. Just a cool lil story about newbies going through our struggles, ups and downs just to come thru strong when it counted most. Huge thank you to all that took time to help us along this journey (especially Katia for always supporting me) and man do i love the lake life! Fish on! Zzzzzzzzing!
  4. Saw the same barge at oak going straight through fishing boats also.
  5. You now have an extra $150 to spend on lures.
  6. Ill give ya $165. My buddy Rich is stopping by to see you tomorrow for the copper. I'll have him grab it for me.
  7. Congratulations on adding to your beautiful family my man! You haven't missed much out there, lucky kid to be born to such a loving father .
  8. You did better than most of us, good job!
  9. Canceled the salmon restoration project on the Columbia River..... this aint what people voted for.
  10. Good job- Any issues running flashers and spoons together? Never tried myself, thx.
  11. We've had tips as large as the charter while other have proudly tipped $20. The $20 tip came from a grandpa after full limits for his family and grandkids from Arizona. Smiles all around, 4 people got their 1st kings and one of our best fish catching evenings ever. You never know what you'll get- all you can do is smile, treat people well and realize your a lucky person for not punching a clock in an office. One of our neighbors has those signs saying, "tip your captain bc its a long swim to shore". To me- sweating in the sun, switching out dead lures, good conversations, some jokes, showing em how things work with some good fillets do the same thing as any sign ever could without being awkward. Clients know who gives em their all and are usually appreciative bc for many- its their 1 day vacation from life.
  12. Evenings can be good, just set expectations accordingly. About an hour n half before dark, I load up on the carbon series of spoons. Seems to help us and I also don't like full moon- seems half of em are full by sun up.
  13. I've had worse openers.
