Not just changing boat depth but depth of bait from lure to float, they won't always fly up to hit a bait so be sure to cover the water column from top to bottom regardless of boat depth. When there on fire they will attack but especially this time of year getting in there face is important.
Ray this time of the year I find more fish in bays near creek mouths and in all the little inlets and channels. Depending when the lake iced out they will also hold up wherever they were during the hard water season for a while before moving on. I'm not familiar with that lake at all so I can't help ya there. I have found that depth is one of the most critical elements, when searching for fish vary your depths in ten ft I'll start with a 3-5-7 and three different colors switching the setups to the different depths untill you get one in then refine from there. Black chartreuse , red white blue and straight white are my go to colors. Throw a grub or waxworm on a tiny ice jig "northland live forage are nice " crappie will hit it but gills will be all over it find one the other is near.
Best of luck
Pretty much the same as everybody, I prefer spro's because I haven't had one fail "yet". Costly but worth it. I run a size 10 power Swivell between main line and leader and I think it's a size 2 ball bearing with interlock they have a nice egg shaped curve on them
Thanks again to everyone, I picked up some new spoons they'll be here Monday then it's just a matter of the lake laying down long enough to get out.
I hope they start producing I'm always running 6-8 lines off the boards with sticks and it would be nice to mix it up when they get picky! Who knows if I start getting bit on spoons I may just have to give it a try in the summer and get off the EYES for a couple days
I can't pm it I'll try to upload it tomorrow. I got Verizon hot spot for Internet and it literally takes 30+ min to upload a pic. I've caught a few coho with green backs always in the 2 ft range. Spring time shallow water. I don't fish deep or summer so I can't help you there. There's some good pics here also

I have a picture of what your looking for, but it's a royal pain in the butt to post pics from my phone if you have a email or phone I can send it to much easier, pm is fine if you don't want it public
Thanks all, I use small snaps already spro's. I didn't realize speed was such an issue tho, next time out I'll play around and see what looks better and pick up some super slims as well. Appreciate all the comments!
