  1. Can you reach under the gunwale? If so I would get a metal plate cut the same size and the rod holder base. Clamp the plate to base and drill holes through the plate using the holes on the rod holder. Put rod holder where you want it and drill though the gunwale and using stainless bolts, washers and locking nuts attach the plate underneath the gunwale. Thicker the plate the better. This is what I did with my tracks on my boat. Dipseys rods have a lot of pressure on them. Maybe someone else will have a better idea. Any questions message me. 2. Took 2 guys out this morning. Was greeted with NE winds like predicted. Love how the new boat handles rough water. Fished 6-10. Worked 70-200 with 75 being best water. Went 1-4, with all flasher fly hits down 50-65 over 75-80. 1 guy was happy with a fish and other just likes driving my boat. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Took some buddies out and fished same waters as Whaler. 90-500. Marked a few fish and very little bait. Best screen was in 90. Had 1 rigger release on a spoon down 64 over 250. Guys had fun but a few fish would have made it better. We did have a guest out in 450. Still better than working. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. Funny you mentioned a dog. There was a dog on board. We (Lakeshore FD) got dispatched on the call at 9:42 on sat night. Multiple people on board. He said he was fishing and new to area. Said he was going 25mph and just buried it. Heard they tried to pull it out Sunday and it ripped the cleats off. We put the fire boat in at Braddocks on the 15th and had 2 rescue calls already. Hopefully I won’t meet any of you out there while I am on the fire boat. Be safe Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. Took a buddy out for the shakedown. Launched at 3 and came in at 6. Stayed close to the piers. Water temp was 45 at the mouth. Tried both sides of pier with no luck. Ran 2 inlines, 2 divers and 2 riggers. I haven’t fished for browns since I was a kid, so I have a lot to learn. Hope to get back out soon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
