  1. It can, but a very short distance under water, I think 20 feet. We are looking onto it.We leave it down till the battery dies (about 2 hours) then bring it up and watch it.
  2. Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date: 6/15/12 Waves: 1-2 Surface Temp: 62 Location: Sodus =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 12 Total Boated: 8 Species Breakdown: Kings,BT & Steel Hot Lure: darker colors Trolling Speed: 2.9 SOG Down Speed: 2.5 Boat Depth: 175 -250 Lure Depth: 30 - 75 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== We felt like we had them dialed in after outings Monday & Thursday. Mayhem early in the morning as steelhead were taking shallow run spoons and hitting the air, most of the time spitting our lures back at us. Later in the morning the bite moved a bit deeper and the Kings got involved. Brown down 65 over 220. Dark SS spoon, Midnight Special(?) I think its called Steelhead down 65 over 190. Dark green spin and custom dark fly. King from dipsy out 175 - Pic from Thurs. Good video of King hitting the fly, and us landing it. Great to get out with dad for an early fathers day trip.
  3. Nick were you getting fleas on you wires? We could not buy a dipsy hit until we started cleaning them every 30 mins, then they did half our fish today. Shorter as well - 175 and less. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. Nick, we are out in 190, lots of action but no majors yet. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  5. Gotta make your own like we did, or take Daves advice and get a trollpro housing.
  6. We get 2 hours out of a battery when its in 45 degree water. We made the clamp out of aluminum. Dipsy cam - we'll leave that one to you to invent, too funny, Nick.
  7. Nice vids. Could not have been easy, handlining in that screamer!
  8. Sounds like you did an excellent job! Just add some fish pics next time
  9. For a minute I was confused at the 3 & 1/2, and thought you might be fishing salt water... Goog thing that hook didnt find anything more painful to rest in. Looks like you had a good day for it.
  10. I am really a dodger guy, dont run the Doctors much, what should I change, or try? Open to all suggestions, thx.
  11. Date(s): 5/19 Weather/Temp: hot, sunny Wind Speed/Direction: NE 5 Waves: 0 - 2 Surface Temp: 51 Location: Sodus =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated: 3 Species Breakdown: LT & Kings ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Tried alot of different water, could not find any mature fish. The only good rip of the day was on a dipsy/spoon, but broke the leader because I forgot to loosen the drag after cinching it down to retrieve some plastic garbage caught on the wire just before. Got some agile youngsters on camera chasing our Spinny/Fly:
  12. We are off Sodus right now. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  13. Congrats on another good day & very nice Brownie.
  14. Got some more video earlier this month, hard to see with the water so green and low light down even 40 feet. We did not get any strikes on camera this day, but had a lot of lookers. Did manage a few strikes on other rods, 2 on dipsy, and another on the other DR. Trout tend to follow forever, Salmon come in fast and furious, swinging back and forth to make a decision. Still learning, more to come.
  15. Gotta let dad fight and lose a fish every now and then or he wont drive the boat anymore! Good job breaking in the new net.
  16. Good to see you made it out, Ted. Hope you can make it more often this year.
  17. A little froggy, but cool camera angle. Now I'm gonna have to get another one for above the surface...
  18. What a difference a few days make. Thanks for the report and better luck next time.
  19. Congrats on the 1st King, they are a blast, love to see them hit the dipsys especially.
