Coast Guard launch is closed till August, I think the sign read. The launch near Margaretta Rd. is useable. -

Way to go get them, thanks for the report. -
Welcome Sean. Post a pic or two of your rig and we'll critique it for ya. I would think if you pick your days by watching the weather reports you would be able to get out there.

At this time we are unable to watch live, but are looking into it. We are hoping that everyone can learn along with us from these videos, and encourage members to comment on what they think the fish are doing and why. After two days of no hits on the Spin/Fly behind the camera, we tried a faster troll (2.5 down speed) and that produced 3 hits (unfortunately two came after the battery died). The fish seem less interested when the speed is lower, but we will try more speed changes while on camera to see what the results are.

Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date: 6/15/12 Waves: 1-2 Surface Temp: 62 Location: Sodus =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 12 Total Boated: 8 Species Breakdown: Kings,BT & Steel Hot Lure: darker colors Trolling Speed: 2.9 SOG Down Speed: 2.5 Boat Depth: 175 -250 Lure Depth: 30 - 75 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== We felt like we had them dialed in after outings Monday & Thursday. Mayhem early in the morning as steelhead were taking shallow run spoons and hitting the air, most of the time spitting our lures back at us. Later in the morning the bite moved a bit deeper and the Kings got involved. Brown down 65 over 220. Dark SS spoon, Midnight Special(?) I think its called Steelhead down 65 over 190. Dark green spin and custom dark fly. King from dipsy out 175 - Pic from Thurs. Good video of King hitting the fly, and us landing it. Great to get out with dad for an early fathers day trip.

For a minute I was confused at the 3 & 1/2, and thought you might be fishing salt water... Goog thing that hook didnt find anything more painful to rest in. Looks like you had a good day for it. -
Date(s): 5/19 Weather/Temp: hot, sunny Wind Speed/Direction: NE 5 Waves: 0 - 2 Surface Temp: 51 Location: Sodus =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated: 3 Species Breakdown: LT & Kings ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Tried alot of different water, could not find any mature fish. The only good rip of the day was on a dipsy/spoon, but broke the leader because I forgot to loosen the drag after cinching it down to retrieve some plastic garbage caught on the wire just before. Got some agile youngsters on camera chasing our Spinny/Fly:
