  1. Got out for my first troll of the year. I had my brother and both of our sons out this morning. We launched at 5 in search of king’s right off the bat. Fished 90-140fow. We went 3/5 on kings, but lost the best one on a diver pulling fake meat. We didn’t stick king fishing out long as we wanted to get the boys on some fast action. We dropped two rods with cow bells and gambler rigs in 130fow, and couldn’t keep two rods in the water. Biggest was just over 18 When the boys got tired, my brother and I broke out the jigging rods. We ended up going 4/6 on the jig. Landed 4 lakers, lost a laker, and lost an Atlantic right at the boat. All in all it was a great morning and the boys had an awesome time! It’s only going to get better from here.
  2. Ahhh, so they showed up right around the 4th of July just like they do every year lol. Nice work Gary
  3. So, first trip of the year out for me. We have a new baby at home, so I haven’t been out like I usually am. Looks like I haven’t missed much this season yet though! Got out before work this morning and we tried shaking the dust off the jigging rods. Worked from 40 to 200 fow. Very few marks today. I’m not sure we even saw a single king mark this morning. Only fish we got was a coho and missed 2 other hits high in the column (likely coho as well). Once the lake sets up, the kings will be here. We haven’t really had any stable weather to set things up. It will happen…..and when it does, I have seen a lot of big fish being caught this year already. It’s going to be a lot of fun! It was honestly just nice to get out and shake the rust off this morning 💪🏼
  4. Do you ever break fish off?
  5. XL Striker Trekker float suit. Brand new never worn. It fit me alittle big so I ordered a large and never got around to returning these. The suit is great. Keeps you very warm on the ice. Asking 175
  6. 20 on riggers. 25 on divers
  7. What is everyone’s thoughts on the turkey population in the Rochester/greater Rochester area/nys? Seems like the numbers just keep going down each year. It could just be the spots I have, but I rarely ever see turkeys anymore even when driving. It’s not to say you can’t still kill birds, because you can. The numbers are just trash in my opinion. I would love if we went down to a one bird state for a few years. I think it would help tremendously. I also have noticed fishers popping up on every one of my pieces the last couple years, which never used to happen. Can a trapping season be opened in our area for them? I know they can hammer on the turkeys pretty good. The yotes also hammer on them this time of year. I can’t tell you how many times during turkey season I actively see coyotes hunting the turkeys. It would be nice to have a 365 day season like some states do. I know this is all a reach. It just sucks seeing the turkey numbers down to what they are right now. I wish something could be done.
  8. Congratulations!!!
  9. Great way to end the season this morning!
  10. Billy dropping the hammer this year 💪🏼
  11. Just a fat beauty
  12. Nice work! Beautiful bird
  13. So I wouldn’t normally smack a Jake, but my little guy wasn’t going to let me live it down if I didn’t shoot lol. He has been asking to go on a turkey hunt for the last year. This morning was it. He got up at 3:45 this morning ready to go. He is an impressive 3 year old. Just loves it. Anyway, no action till 8:30 until 3 jakes came in gobbling like crazy. Then beat the life out of our tom decoy. Really cool interaction for him to see. A morning to remember
  14. That’s a beauty!

  20. Finished the season on a high note last night. Got a double last night. It was a fun season. We finished with 15 coyotes and 10 foxes. Not bad for barely even being able to get out in February due to horrible weather.
  21. That one has some shoulders on him! Nice work
  22. Thanks! It would have been cool if it were an Atlantic. Just a brown with some unique spotting though!
  23. Another great birthday outing in the books! Slowly just picked at fish throughout the day. Finished 20-24 on browns. Slowest stick bite I have personally witnessed. Everything we got on sticks though was on goby colors. Ended up just running all goby patterns on all 6 boards as nothing else was getting touched. Chinook divers saved the day taking most of our fish. Ran the same two spoons the whole time. Michigan stinger ice frog and Michigan stinger perch. Riggers were quiet taking only 2 fish. All and all a great first trip of the season with great friends, great weather, and great fish.
  24. Got my buddy on his first yote last night 💪🏼
