My new ride.

Man I guess I am luckier then I thought. We pay $10 an acre for my lease, and cost for our plots plus it has all the amenities we need to work the property. A big bonus is it's only 5 minutes from my house, which is great! Good luck with your new ground!

We steal our kids glow Sticks and slide them in the slitts in the flag. Green is the easiest to see.

Lol! I'm used to it, that's how I revive all my fish. Once they start chewing at my hand they are good to go. -

Unfortunately I didn't get into the fall knowing my time on the water was going to be extremely limited. Even if we were the fish didn't hit the deck till 7:30 ish which is to late to enter giving I would have to get to the Oak or Rochester by 8 o'clock. -
Haven't been out in over 3 weeks busy with prepping for deer season. Decided to finally hit the pond yesterday evening. 6 o'clock finally took our 1st king in the low 20's. Wasn't untill shortly after 7 the rigger pulling a "Blue Skinny Jeans" Moonshine down 85 over 100 fow poped and we had a battle on our hands! Every time we would take an inch the fish would take a mile. Once we finally got it 50 ft or so from the back of the boat the fish came to the surface like a shark. By the distance from the dorsal to the tail I knew it was a good one. Finally the fish hit the net and it wad all high 5's from there. Most definitely much bigger fish in the sea but my personal best while trolling! Hit the scale at 31 and change, couple quick picks and back to go spawn! Took two more huge rips while we releasing the big one and dumped both. Short while later landed a high teens on a diver with a huge while in its face. Great night get back out there!!

And it begins!! Haven't fished in since August 2nd ( except for last night) due to the constant work that the upcoming deer season requires. This year we have 8 kill plots/ food plots and praying that this rain we have this morning helps them out! Clover, chicory, Turnips, Winter Weat, Oats, are what we went with this year. Sure hope all the work pays off! Can't wait for that first crisp morning!

I will hopefully be out of Sandy tonight! Give me a shout if you fish Sandy Joe -
Finally finished up all my plots for this season !! A ton of time, work and money. Now we just need the most important element RAIN!! Hopefully I will be able to get back on the water a few times before yanking the boat. Haven't been out in nearly a month since I have been devoting all my free time to mowing trails, clearing down trees, putting culverts in wet spots, and all the work that goes into the plots. Ladino clover and Chicory Another plot with Ladino Clover and Chicory Mixture of Oats and Evolved Harvest Shotplot Turnips Evolved Harvest shotplot Turnips in the plot straight out and Winter Weat and Oats to the left Ladino clover and Chicory Also have an 1 acre plot with half clover and half Turnips. Another Acre of Ladino Clover and Chicory that I forgot to take pics of.

It's an obvious fact that LT numbers are to high and that they live much longer then a King. Eat all day poop then eat more. Are stocked at higher numbers then should be. But if everyone whent out there with intentions to lower the population and keeping what the state says they can every trip , wouldn't that give the DEC more of reason not to cut the stocking number of LT'S and possibly even raise them even higher?

I think it comes down to $$$ and voices. There is alot more money generated and voices to complain in the hunting world compared to Lake Ontario fishing.

Ok I just called the Avon office questioning what the web site says. He said that the final decision was made today and the Web site should be changed over by this evening. He told me that the decision was made that bucks CAN be taken during the beginning of bow and during Muzzleloader season!! Awsome news!
-
That is BS!! How can they have to different things listed on DEC Web site??? The dates posted above are listed for 2016-2017.....
-
As of right now it looks like the Southern Zone is again allowed to harvest Bucks all season!! Thank god the DEC corrected that non sence. Last 2 weeks we have been grinding out work on our lease preparing trails and food plots, this makes the itch even worse for the season to be here!
